The Samsung Galaxy M36 5G is the stronger fit if you want a sharper Super AMOLED display and a stated six-generation Android-upgrade and six-year security-update commitment. The realme 15x 5G suits buyers prioritizing a larger stated battery, faster charging, a 144Hz refresh-rate ceiling and a higher-resolution selfie camera. For price, compare the same RAM and storage configuration at current sellers: the available figures are for different variants and are not a fair measure of a universal price gap.

These are manufacturer-listed specifications, not comparative test results. Sources: Samsung Galaxy M36 specifications, Samsung’s India launch announcement (June 30, 2025), and realme 15x specifications.
Which phone has the better display?
The Galaxy M36 has the advantage if resolution and panel type matter most. Samsung lists a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel at FHD+ resolution, 1080 × 2340. The realme 15x has a slightly larger 6.8-inch screen and a higher maximum refresh rate, but its listed resolution is HD+, 1570 × 720.
In practical terms, the M36’s published specification offers more pixels and an AMOLED panel; the 15x offers a 144Hz ceiling rather than 120Hz. Refresh rate is only one display characteristic, so the larger number alone does not make the realme screen the better choice for every buyer.

How do battery and charging compare?
realme lists a 7000mAh typical battery for the 15x, with a 6820mAh minimum, and 60W SUPERVOOC charging. Its specification page also says an 80W adapter is included in the box. Samsung lists a 5000mAh typical battery for the M36; the company’s June 30, 2025 launch announcement specifies 25W fast charging.
The stated capacity and charging figures favor the realme on paper. They do not establish how long either phone lasts in a particular person’s use, how quickly it charges in all conditions, or a tested battery-life advantage.

What do the camera specifications tell you?
The realme 15x lists 50MP cameras on both the rear and front. Samsung lists a 50MP main rear camera alongside 8MP and 2MP cameras, plus OIS, and a 13MP front camera. Its extra listed rear cameras give the M36 a broader set of camera hardware on paper, while the realme has the higher front-camera resolution.

Software support: what is explicitly promised?
Samsung’s India launch announcement states that the Galaxy M36 will receive six generations of Android upgrades and six years of security updates. It also identifies One UI 7. The realme specification page lists realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15, but does not state a comparable support duration. That omission is not evidence that realme provides no updates; it means the cited specification does not provide a directly comparable time commitment.
Is the Galaxy M36 or realme 15x faster?
The published processor details are not enough to name a reliable performance winner. Samsung’s retrieved product specification lists an octa-core CPU with speeds of 2.4GHz and 2.0GHz but does not identify the chipset in the cited page. realme identifies the 15x’s processor as the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, up to 2.4GHz. Clock speed alone cannot substitute for comparable performance testing, and no such benchmark results are established here.

Price difference: compare matching variants, not headline prices
There is no single dependable price gap in the available figures because they refer to different configurations and points of sale. Samsung’s June 30, 2025 India launch announcement listed introductory prices of ₹16,499 for the 6GB+128GB model, including a ₹1,000 instant bank discount; ₹17,999 for 8GB+128GB; and ₹20,999 for 8GB+256GB. The announcement said sales would begin July 12, 2025. These are launch-era figures, not a current quote.

Samsung’s current buy-page search result showed a starting price from ₹21,999 for the 6GB/128GB model. Because the displayed realme figure is for 8GB+256GB while Samsung’s entry figure is for 6GB+128GB, they do not show a like-for-like price difference. Store prices, stock and offers can change.

Which one should you buy?
Choose the Galaxy M36 if
- You prioritize a higher-resolution FHD+ Super AMOLED display over the realme’s higher refresh-rate ceiling.
- You value Samsung’s stated six Android upgrade generations and six years of security updates.
- You prefer the lower listed weight and thinner body, or want listed rear-camera hardware that includes an ultrawide and OIS.
Choose the realme 15x if
- You prioritize its larger stated battery capacity and faster listed charging.
- You want a 144Hz maximum refresh rate or a 50MP front-camera resolution on the specification sheet.
- You are comfortable with an HD+ display and its higher listed weight.
Neither processor specification establishes a performance winner, and the available camera figures do not establish a photo-quality winner. Use your priorities above, then verify the price and availability for the exact memory configuration you plan to buy.
