In the 91mobiles snapshot, the M47 is ₹6,099 more expensive: ₹27,098 compared with ₹20,999 for the M36. Do the displays differ?
The cited Samsung India specifications give both phones the same headline display features: a 120 Hz FHD+ Super AMOLED panel at 1080 × 2340 resolution. Both pages also list 16.91 cm for the full rectangle and 16.45 cm when measured accounting for rounded corners. The available specifications do not establish a meaningful display advantage for either model.
Which phone has the better battery and charging?
The M47 has the larger listed capacity: 6,000 mAh typical, versus 5,000 mAh typical on the M36. Their rated minimum capacities are 5,882 mAh and 4,905 mAh, respectively. The M47 also lists 45 W wired charging, while the M36 is approximately 25 W. Samsung says the chargers are sold separately; check charger compatibility and the exact listing before buying one.

These figures establish a capacity and rated-wattage advantage for the M47, not a tested runtime or charge-time result. Actual battery life depends on usage and network conditions, and the cited comparison contains no hands-on battery or charging test.

Camera hardware
Both phones list a 50 MP main camera and a 2 MP third rear camera. The M36’s ultra-wide camera is listed at 8 MP, compared with 5 MP on the M47. Its front camera is listed at 13 MP versus 12 MP on the M47. These resolution figures do not establish which phone takes better photos or selfies; that would require comparable image samples or testing.

Chipset
The M36 uses the Samsung Exynos 1380, while the M47 uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, according to 91mobiles. The chipset names identify different platforms, but the cited information does not provide comparable benchmark results or real-world testing. It is not enough to declare one phone faster.

Samsung India lists security updates through December 31, 2031 for the M36 and July 31, 2032 for the M47—a seven-month difference in the stated end dates. Samsung describes the M47 policy as six OS generations and six years of security updates from its first global launch. The M36 page describes its OS-upgrade information as Samsung’s current plan. Which one should you buy?
Choose the M47 if
- You value the higher listed battery capacity and 45 W charging.
- You prefer the newer chipset platform, while recognizing that the available specifications do not prove a speed advantage.
- The later listed security-update end date matters to you.
- The current price premium fits your budget.
Choose the M36 if
- It is substantially cheaper at checkout and you want to spend less.
- You prefer its higher listed ultra-wide and front-camera resolutions, without treating megapixels as proof of better image quality.
- The shared display specifications meet your needs and the M47’s battery, charging, and support differences are not worth the extra cost to you.
