The Samsung Galaxy M36 5G is the stronger fit if you prioritize a sharper AMOLED display and a more versatile listed rear-camera setup. The realme NARZO 100x 5G has the larger rated battery and higher maximum refresh rate, but its display is lower resolution. In dated India price listings for the 6GB/128GB versions, Samsung was ₹2,000 cheaper; the listings were not updated on the same date, so that is not a guaranteed current price gap.

These are listed specifications and dated price observations, not results from hands-on testing. Where the listings differ in detail or date, the comparison below explains what can—and cannot—be concluded.
Which phone has the better display?
The Galaxy M36 has the sharper display and uses Super AMOLED: Samsung lists a 6.7-inch FHD+ panel at 120Hz. The NARZO 100x has a slightly larger, approximately 6.8-inch LCD with HD+ resolution and a higher 144Hz maximum refresh rate.
- Choose the M36 for resolution and panel type. Its FHD+ resolution is higher than the Narzo’s HD+ resolution, and AMOLED is the key panel distinction.
- Consider the Narzo if refresh rate is your priority. Its listed maximum is 144Hz versus 120Hz on the M36. A higher refresh-rate figure alone does not establish that the overall display is better.
Which has the bigger battery, and what about charging?
The NARZO 100x is rated at 8,000mAh, compared with 5,000mAh for the Galaxy M36—a 3,000mAh difference in stated capacity. Launch coverage lists 45W charging for the Narzo; Samsung’s product information indicates approximately 25W fast charging and says the charger is sold separately.

Capacity and charging ratings do not establish how long either phone lasts in comparable real-world use. realme also promotes seven-year battery health on its product page; that is a manufacturer claim, not an independently verified longevity result here.
How do their cameras compare?
Samsung lists three distinct rear cameras: a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro. The Narzo materials identify a 50MP main camera and a second rear camera, but do not establish the same level of detail about that second camera. The M36 also has a higher listed front-camera resolution, 13MP versus 8MP.

This is a comparison of listed hardware, not proof that Samsung takes better photos. No controlled camera comparison is established, and megapixel counts alone do not determine image quality.

For the 6GB/128GB configuration, Gadgets360 reported the Galaxy M36 at ₹21,999 on October 7, 2026, for the Velvet Black version, with Amazon named as the lowest-price seller. Smartprix listed the NARZO 100x at ₹23,999 for 6GB/128GB and says that price was last changed September 11, 2026. Subtracting those snapshots makes the M36 ₹2,000 cheaper, but the dates are not aligned, so this is not a same-day checkout comparison.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What can be said about software support and durability?
Samsung’s product listing specifies Android 15 and lists security support through December 31, 2031. It frames update information as current plans. A secondary comparison reports six years of OS and security updates for Samsung, while launch coverage reports two years of OS and three years of security updates for the Narzo; those exact support durations are not confirmed here by official documentation for both phones, so treat them as reported rather than settled policy.
