For India’s reported 4GB/128GB prices, the Nova 2 is ₹1,000 more expensive than the M17e’s March 2026 launch price.

These are not guaranteed current checkout prices. Samsung’s figures are launch prices from March 2026, while Ai+’s are reported revised prices from August 2026; seller, stock and promotions can change the amount. Ai+’s official storefront displays ₹13,999 for the Nova 2 5G without identifying the variant, so it does not establish a like-for-like current price. Check the exact RAM and storage configuration at purchase. Sources: Samsung’s 18 March 2026 launch announcement, Moneycontrol’s 23 August 2026 price report, and Ai+ Store.
Which phone should you choose?
Choose the Galaxy M17e for documented software support
Samsung explicitly promises six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates, and its product page lists security updates through 31 January 2032. Samsung says its policy runs from the first global launch and is subject to change. No equivalent primary-source Nova 2 support promise was established, so Samsung is the better-supported choice if a published update commitment is a priority.

Consider the Nova 2 if you want a 64GB entry configuration
The Nova 2 is listed in a 4GB/64GB configuration; Samsung’s launch options start at 4GB/128GB. That makes the Nova 2 the only one of the two with a listed lower-storage tier. However, its reported 4GB/64GB price is ₹13,999, the same as Samsung’s 4GB/128GB launch price, so check whether the additional storage on the Samsung matters more to you than the variant you can actually buy.

The phones use different processors, but the available specifications do not establish which is faster in everyday use. Both list an 8MP front camera, and their rear-camera configurations differ; megapixel counts alone do not show which takes better photos. No controlled benchmark or direct camera comparison is available here.

How similar are the displays and batteries?
The Nova 2’s listed screen is 0.05 inches larger. Both are HD+ panels with a 120Hz refresh rate, so the specification sheet does not show a resolution or refresh-rate advantage for either phone. Samsung identifies its panel as PLS LCD; the Nova 2’s IPS LCD label comes from a third-party listing. Those panel labels and figures do not establish comparative brightness, color, viewing angles or outdoor readability.
Both phones list a 6,000mAh battery, but equal capacity does not prove equal battery life. Actual runtime depends on factors such as display settings, network conditions, software and usage. The cited comparison does not state a charging wattage for Samsung; the 15W figure is reported for the Nova 2. The IP54 and IP64 ratings shown in the comparison database are listed ratings, not a basis here for a broader water-resistance recommendation.
