The Samsung Galaxy M17 is the more compelling pick if you prioritize an AMOLED display and the longer software-support period listed by comparison sites. The Ai+ Nova 2 Pro 5G is listed with a larger, faster-refreshing LCD, a bigger battery and faster wired charging. Prices are inconsistent across recent comparison snapshots, so check the exact RAM/storage variant and live retailer price before deciding.

The M17 is listed with a Super AMOLED panel, while the Nova 2 Pro is listed with a larger 6.9-inch IPS LCD and a higher 144 Hz refresh rate. AMOLED may suit viewers who value deep contrast; the Nova’s reported size and refresh rate may appeal to people who prefer a larger screen and smoother motion. Those are different advantages, not a simple overall screen-quality ranking. Confirm the panel and refresh-rate details with the seller or manufacturer before purchase.

M17 vs Nova 2 Pro battery and charging
The Nova 2 Pro is listed with 6,000 mAh capacity and 33 W charging, compared with the M17’s 5,000 mAh and 25 W. That is a 1,000 mAh capacity difference and an 8 W difference in listed charging power. Neither comparison establishes which phone lasts longer in everyday use: battery life depends on more than capacity, and no comparable independent battery test for these two models is cited here.
Camera comparison: three lenses versus two
The M17’s reported rear setup comprises a 50 MP main, 5 MP ultrawide and 2 MP macro camera; the Nova 2 Pro is listed with a 48 MP main and 8 MP ultrawide camera. The M17 therefore has an additional listed macro camera, but camera count and megapixels alone do not show which phone takes better photos. The cited comparison provides no matched image-quality test. Also avoid confusing the Nova 2 Pro with the separately listed Ai+ Nova 2 5G, which is a different model.

Performance: what the chipset listings do and do not tell you
91mobiles lists an Exynos 1330 in the M17 and a MediaTek Dimensity 7100 in the Nova 2 Pro, with a maximum listed CPU frequency of 2.4 GHz for each. Matching peak frequency does not mean matching performance: it does not capture the full processor design or real-world results. The cited page does not provide a directly comparable benchmark for the Nova 2 Pro, so these specifications alone cannot settle which phone is faster.
Software update support
Comparison sites list the M17 with Android 15 and six years of OS and security updates, and the Nova 2 Pro with Android 16, one year of OS updates and two years of security updates. This reported difference favors Samsung on paper, but the figures need qualification: Samsung’s official product page is available, while the cited sources do not include an official Ai+ support policy for the Nova 2 Pro. Check the manufacturers’ current written terms before treating update duration as decisive.

Price difference: check the live listing
Two comparison snapshots disagree about which phone costs less. Gadgets Now, dated September 4, 2026, reports offer prices of ₹19,999 for the M17 and ₹18,999 for the Nova 2 Pro, with listed prices of ₹27,999 and ₹21,999, respectively. Smartprix, whose comparison details were updated September 12, 2026, instead reports lowest prices of ₹17,699 for the M17 and ₹19,499 for the Nova 2 Pro. These are dated comparison-site snapshots, not confirmed live prices; offers and configurations may differ. Check the retailer listing for the exact variant, stock and final price.

- Choose the Galaxy M17 if: the listed AMOLED panel matters more to you, or you favor the longer update period reported by comparison sites and can verify Samsung’s current policy.
- Consider the Nova 2 Pro if: its listed larger 144 Hz LCD, 6,000 mAh battery or 33 W charging better matches your priorities, and you are comfortable verifying specifications and support terms that lack an official Ai+ source in the cited material.
- Do not choose by price snapshots alone: the cited sources name opposite price leaders. Compare the same RAM/storage configuration and current in-stock offers.
