The Samsung Galaxy F56 5G is the slimmer, lighter option, while the Galaxy A37 5G adds an official IP68 rating, a higher-resolution macro camera and a later listed security-update end date. Their core specifications overlap: both have 6.7-inch 120Hz FHD+ AMOLED displays, 50MP optical-image-stabilized main cameras, 5,000mAh typical batteries and Samsung’s stated policy of up to six generations of Android upgrades. The documented prices come from different dates and contexts, so they do not establish a current price gap.

These are Samsung’s published specifications and support statements, not independent performance or battery-life test results. What the price difference actually tells you
Samsung announced India launch prices for the F56 on 8 May 2025: ₹25,999 for 8GB/128GB and ₹28,999 for 8GB/256GB, with a stated ₹2,000 instant bank discount. These are historical launch-price figures, not confirmed current prices. Samsung’s F56 launch announcement

Samsung’s F56 product page currently says “Not for sale.” Before deciding on value, compare live prices for the same RAM and storage configuration, and account for bank offers. The historical figures above cannot establish today’s price difference.
Where the two phones differ in daily use
Portability and screen type
Samsung lists the F56 at 180g and 7.2mm thick, versus 196g and 7.4mm for the A37. That makes the F56 16g lighter and 0.2mm thinner on paper. Its screen is specified as Super AMOLED Plus; the A37 is listed as Super AMOLED. Both have the same stated 6.7-inch FHD+ size and 120Hz refresh rate. The panel labels alone do not establish a real-world display-quality winner.

Water and dust protection
The A37 has an official IP68 rating in Samsung’s product information. Samsung describes testing in freshwater up to 1.5m deep for up to 30 minutes, while warning that resistance can diminish over time. This is not a guarantee of permanent water resistance or a recommendation for saltwater, pools or other conditions. Camera hardware
Both phones list a 50MP OIS main camera and a 12MP selfie camera, with 4K video capture at 30fps. The documented rear-camera difference is the third camera: 2MP on the F56 and 5MP on the A37. A higher megapixel count does not by itself prove better photos, and the listed specifications are not a substitute for comparative camera testing.

Battery and charging
Each phone has a 5,000mAh typical battery rating. Samsung lists up to 26 hours of video playback for the F56 and up to 29 hours for the A37, but these manufacturer estimates should not be treated as a controlled head-to-head result. The F56 launch announcement specifies 45W charging support and its product page says the charger is sold separately. Samsung describes the A37 as supporting Super Fast Charging 2.0 and says it can reach up to 60% in 30 minutes under stated conditions.

Samsung states an upgrade policy of up to six generations of Android upgrades for both models, with up to six years of security updates. The product pages give different security-update periods: through 31 December 2030 for the F56 and through 31 March 2032 for the A37. Which Samsung phone should you choose?
- Choose the Galaxy F56 if a lighter, thinner phone and the Super AMOLED Plus label matter more to you, and you find it at a suitable current price.
- Choose the Galaxy A37 if you prioritize the documented IP68 rating, want the A37’s 5MP macro camera specification, or value its later listed security-update end date.
- Compare both carefully if your deciding factors are basic display size and refresh rate, main-camera resolution, selfie-camera resolution or typical battery capacity: Samsung’s listed figures are similar on those points.
Neither specification sheet settles which phone is faster, takes better photos, or lasts longer in your own use. Those questions require comparable independent testing; the published specifications alone do not establish a winner.
