The Samsung Galaxy F16 5G and vivo X300 FE target very different budgets and priorities in India. The F16 offers a larger screen and Samsung’s stated software-support promise, while the X300 FE lists more advanced camera hardware, a faster-refresh display and higher-end components. Their published prices are not a like-for-like comparison: Samsung’s figures are March 2025 launch prices, while vivo’s is a store listing for a specific configuration viewed on 7 October 2026.

These are India-market details, and availability or specifications elsewhere may differ. The price figures come from different dates and configurations; check the current price of the exact variant before buying.
How much more does the vivo X300 FE cost?
There is no verified, same-date official price comparison here. Samsung’s India announcement dated 13 March 2025 listed introductory prices of ₹11,499, ₹12,999 and ₹14,499 for the F16’s 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB variants. The 4GB/128GB offer included a specified ₹1,000 bank cashback. These are historical launch prices, not a current Samsung quote.
On 7 October 2026, vivo’s India store displayed ₹94,999 for a selected X300 FE 12GB/256GB listing and showed an MRP of ₹119,999. That store price is tied to a different memory and storage configuration and a later date. Subtracting the F16’s launch price from it would not produce a meaningful current price difference. Verify today’s price and offer terms for both specific variants before deciding.

Which phone has the bigger display?
The Galaxy F16 5G has the larger panel at 6.7 inches, compared with 6.31 inches on the X300 FE. Samsung specifies up to 90Hz and 1080 × 2340 resolution for the F16; vivo lists 120Hz and 2640 × 1216 for its smaller AMOLED panel. In practical terms, the F16 gives more screen area, while the X300 FE has the higher listed refresh rate and resolution.
Which phone has the better camera setup?
The X300 FE has a more versatile listed camera arrangement, including a dedicated telephoto camera. Its rear system combines a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP telephoto camera with OIS and 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide. The front camera is 50MP with autofocus.

The F16 has a 50MP main camera plus 5MP and 2MP rear cameras, and a 13MP front camera. Samsung’s product specifications do not list OIS. These specifications describe hardware, not measured image quality: megapixel counts alone cannot establish which phone takes better photos.

vivo lists the ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 as compatible with the X300 FE. It is sold separately, so it should be treated as an optional accessory rather than part of the phone’s standard package.

How different are performance, battery and charging specifications?
The F16 lists a MediaTek Dimensity 6300, while the X300 FE lists a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 alongside LPDDR5X Ultra memory and UFS 4.1 storage. These components place the phones in different specification classes, but the available material does not establish comparable independent benchmark results. It therefore does not support a numerical performance comparison or a claim about sustained gaming performance or heat.
Samsung lists a 5,000mAh typical battery and 25W charging for the F16. vivo lists 6,500mAh typical capacity and 6,350mAh rated capacity for the X300 FE, with up to 90W FlashCharge. vivo notes that actual charging power varies and that maximum charging power requires its original charger and cable. Capacity and charging ratings alone do not establish real-world runtime or charging time.

What software support does Samsung promise?
Samsung’s India launch announcement states that the F16 will receive six generations of Android upgrades and six years of security updates. Samsung’s product page lists a security-update period through 31 October 2030; it also says update policies are subject to change and describes plans rather than a commitment or obligation.
The inspected vivo India specification pages list Android 16 and OriginOS 6 for the X300 FE, but they do not establish a support duration comparable to Samsung’s stated policy. That is a limit on what those pages substantiate, not evidence that vivo provides no updates.

- You want a dedicated telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, a higher-refresh-rate panel or a larger listed storage option.
- Its current price suits your budget, and you value its higher specified charging rate. These are specification-based distinctions, not independent test results.
