The Galaxy Buds4’s metal blade is now an official design feature, not just a leaked detail. Samsung describes a brushed-and-glossy metal finish with fine hairline detailing, while the earbuds retain a stem-like form that prompted pre-launch comparisons with AirPods. That comparison describes how the design was received; it does not establish that Samsung copied Apple or intended to reject its styling.
What do the Samsung Galaxy Buds4 look like?
Samsung’s April 7, 2026 design story describes the Buds4 blade as oblong metal. The company says it combines a brushed texture and glossy finish on one metal piece, with fine hairline detailing and polished sides. Samsung presents the metal blade as part of the earbuds’ visual identity, rather than merely a surface treatment.
That is Samsung’s description of the design; the cited material does not independently verify the metal’s composition or durability. The series also has an engraved pinch-control area on the blade and a transparent, clamshell-type charging cradle, according to Samsung’s February 26, 2026 announcement.
What did the Galaxy Buds4 leak show?
Before Samsung’s announcement, Android Central reported on February 17, 2026, that retailer-listing images showed a smoother metal look while retaining stems. The report framed the images as a leak and noted that the Buds3 stems had drawn comparisons to AirPods. Its role now is to explain the pre-launch conversation, not to establish the final specifications: Samsung has since confirmed the blade design in its own account.

Do Galaxy Buds4 look like AirPods?
There is a visible point of comparison: both designs use a stem-like shape. The Buds4’s metal blade treatment gives Samsung’s earbuds a distinct visual detail, but the available sources do not support calling the designs wholly unlike one another—or saying Samsung deliberately moved away from Apple’s styling. Samsung’s stated aim is to build a recognizable Galaxy Buds identity. Its design story says the series follows Samsung’s “own design language, simple yet impactful” and is intended to leave a strong visual impression when worn.
How do Buds4 and Buds4 Pro differ in fit?
Samsung announced two models, with different fit architectures. The standard Galaxy Buds4 is open-fit; the Galaxy Buds4 Pro is canal-fit. That distinction matters if you prefer earbuds that do not seal the ear canal or, conversely, want an in-ear fit. A canal-fit design is not automatically more comfortable: fit depends on the wearer, and the cited sources do not provide independent comparative wear testing.

What does Samsung say about comfort and design testing?
Samsung says its design process used data from hundreds of millions of global ear data points and more than 10,000 simulations. Those are company-reported inputs to its computational design process, not independently audited findings or proof that the earbuds will fit every ear. Samsung’s announcement quotes Ikhyun Cho, Corporate Vice President of the Mobile Enhancement R&D Team in Samsung Electronics’ Mobile eXperience Business, saying the design philosophy was to provide all-day comfort without sacrificing audio performance.

What specifications and battery estimates are listed?
Samsung US lists Bluetooth 6.1 for the standard Galaxy Buds4 and estimates up to 6 hours of playback with ANC off or 5 hours with ANC on. Including the charging case, its listed estimates are up to 30 hours with ANC off or 24 hours with ANC on.
