The Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge is a Snapdragon Windows laptop family, not one uniform configuration. Its 14- and 16-inch models pair Snapdragon X Elite processors with 3K AMOLED touchscreens, while the 15.6-inch model combines Snapdragon X Plus with an FHD LED display. That distinction matters more than the “era of Qualcomm PCs” headline: the right choice depends on which screen and processor you want, how your apps behave on Windows on Arm, and whether the tested performance and battery evidence fit your expectations.
What is different about the Galaxy Book4 Edge models?
Samsung sells three materially different configurations under the Galaxy Book4 Edge name. The 14- and 16-inch models are the premium display options; the 15.6-inch model uses a different processor tier and a lower-resolution display. These are Samsung US specifications and advertised playback estimates, not independent test results; confirm the local SKU because regional configurations and naming can differ. The available information does not establish memory and storage for every regional model, so check the exact listing rather than assuming the same capacity across sizes. Samsung’s US Galaxy Book4 Edge comparison is the reference for its listed configurations and ports.
What the 14- and 16-inch displays offer
Samsung’s UK launch specification describes the 14- and 16-inch panels as 16:10 AMOLED displays with 2880 × 1800 resolution, up to 120Hz variable refresh rate, ten-point multitouch, and 120% DCI-P3 color volume. Samsung lists 400 nits typical brightness and 500 nits for HDR content only. These specifications apply to the 14- and 16-inch displays, not the 15.6-inch FHD LED model. Which processor is in the 16-inch model?
“Snapdragon X Elite” does not identify a single chip configuration. Notebookcheck’s 16-inch coverage discusses an optional Snapdragon X Elite X1E-84-100, with all-core maximum frequency up to 3.8 GHz, dual-core boost up to 4.2 GHz, and the faster Adreno X1-85 graphics configuration. Do not assume that processor is present in every 16-inch unit: verify the exact processor in the local SKU. Performance figures from one chip should not be treated as results for the other.
How fast is the Galaxy Book4 Edge?
Notebookcheck tested a 14-inch Galaxy Book4 Edge with the Snapdragon X Elite X1E-80-100. Its review unit recorded 6,772 points in Cinebench R23 multi-core and 1,273 in Cinebench R23 single-core; its Cinebench R20 results were 2,539 multi-core and 480 single-core. These are useful reference points for that specific unit and test protocol, not guaranteed scores for every Edge model. Notebookcheck’s 14-inch review reports the benchmark results.

The processor family also includes a neural processing unit rated at 45 TOPS in Samsung’s launch material. That is a vendor capability specification, not evidence that a particular AI feature is available in every region or will improve a specific workflow. Samsung introduced the X Elite version as a Copilot+ PC, but the label alone does not establish that your essential apps run natively or perform well on Windows on Arm. How long does the Galaxy Book4 Edge battery last?
Samsung advertises video playback of up to 20 hours for the 14-inch model, 22 hours for the 16-inch, and 27 hours for the 15.6-inch version on its US comparison page. These are manufacturer “up to” figures, not a promise of runtime during mixed work, video calls, gaming, or other real-world use.

Independent testing gives a more cautious picture for at least one configuration: Notebookcheck says its tested 14-inch Edge falls short on battery life relative to expectations for Snapdragon devices. The cited reviews do not provide a directly comparable runtime for all three sizes under one test protocol, so there is no sound basis here for ranking their real-world endurance or promising multi-day use.

It can suit a buyer who wants a Samsung laptop with a high-resolution OLED-class touchscreen and is comfortable checking Windows on Arm compatibility before relying on it. The 14- or 16-inch X Elite models are the options with the 3K AMOLED display; the 15.6-inch X Plus version is a distinct, lower-resolution display tier. Choose by exact configuration rather than the family name alone.

Compatibility and performance can vary by app, and the available evidence does not establish a comprehensive current compatibility audit. Do you need a USB-C hub?
Not necessarily. Every configuration listed by Samsung US includes HDMI and USB4, while the 16-inch and 15.6-inch models add USB 3.2 and microSD compared with the 14-inch port list. A hub or USB4 dock is an optional convenience if your monitor, storage, or other devices require connections the chosen model lacks; it is not a universal requirement.
