Compare the Galaxy A57 with other long-battery-life Android phones by looking at independent tests run under the same conditions, not battery capacity or advertised “days” alone. Samsung lists a 5,000 mAh typical battery and claims up to two days per charge, but that runtime is an estimate based on a specified test profile—not a guarantee for every user.
How long does the Galaxy A57 battery last?
Samsung lists the Galaxy A57’s battery as 5,000 mAh typical capacity and 4,905 mAh rated (minimum) capacity. Its “up to two days” claim is based on an average-use estimate from UX Connect Research, which assessed pre-release SM-A576 units in the UK from January 8 to January 18, 2026. The test used LTE and 5G Sub6; Samsung says 5G mmWave was not tested and cautions that actual results vary with use. Samsung’s Galaxy A57 specifications and test notes describe the claim and its conditions.
That is useful context, but it is not the same as an independent head-to-head battery rundown or a promise that a particular owner will get two full days. Screen brightness, refresh rate, mobile-data signal, time spent gaming or using the camera, and other workload differences all affect consumption. For your own routine, note whether you need to reach bedtime, a second full day, or simply a long stretch between outlets; those are different targets.

Start with tests that use the same procedure, settings and workload for every phone being compared. A controlled web-browsing test, video loop or mixed-use run can each be informative, but their results are not interchangeable. Check whether the report gives screen brightness, network connection, refresh-rate setting, test duration and whether it reports hours of runtime or percentage drained. If those details are missing, treat the ranking as a limited observation rather than a precise forecast.

Tom’s Guide reported that the A57 lost 15% of its battery in its test window, compared with 14% for the Galaxy A56 and 16% for the Nothing Phone 4a Pro. The excerpted comparison does not fully describe the protocol, so those percentages are best read as that publication’s observations, not as a universal ranking. In separate lab-hour figures, Tom’s Guide reported just over 15 hours for the Pixel 10a and around 12.5 hours for the iPhone 17e. Those are outlet-specific results and should not be directly compared with Samsung’s “up to two days” estimate or with percentage-drain observations. See Tom’s Guide’s Galaxy A57 review for its comparisons and Android phone roundup for its broader editorial assessments.
Is 5,000 mAh enough for two days?
Capacity is one input, not a runtime verdict. A phone with a larger battery can still use more power because of its display, processor, network conditions or workload. For example, Samsung’s 2026 interim report lists a 6,000 mAh battery for the entry-level Galaxy A07 5G; that higher number alone does not establish that it will last longer than the A57 in a comparable test. Samsung Electronics’ 2026 Q1 interim report gives the A07 figure.

When specifications are available, compare both typical and rated capacity, then give more weight to repeatable runtime tests. If a manufacturer supplies a “days per charge” figure, check the stated usage profile and network conditions before comparing it with another manufacturer’s claim.

What does the A57’s charging claim tell you?
Samsung says Super Fast Charging 2.0 can bring the A57 to 60% in 30 minutes. That is a top-up-speed claim, not evidence of how long a full charge lasts. Before treating it as an out-of-box charging experience, confirm the charging requirements and whether a compatible adapter is included for the specific market and SKU; regional box contents can differ. Samsung’s US A-series comparison page says the listed 2026 A-series models do not support wireless charging or PowerShare. Samsung US’s A-series comparison provides those model details.

Compare the whole ownership fit, not just endurance
Battery tests answer one question: how long a phone lasts under a particular workload. For a purchase comparison, also consider how the display and storage suit you, how long the manufacturer commits to updates, and whether the model is available at a sensible price in your country.
Display, workload and storage
Samsung’s US specifications list the A57 with a 6.7-inch FHD+ display at up to 120 Hz, 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of storage. The listed model has no microSD expansion. A large, high-refresh display may be an important part of the experience you want, but compare battery results only when display settings and tasks are reasonably similar. Check your local version before relying on US-market configuration details. Samsung’s US A-series specifications list the screen and memory options.

Software support and market availability
Samsung says the A57 is eligible for up to six generations of OS and One UI upgrades and up to six years of security updates. That commitment may matter if you plan to keep the phone for years, but it does not measure single-charge runtime. Samsung notes that availability and rollout timing vary by model and market, so check the promise for the exact regional model before buying. Samsung’s launch announcement outlines the support commitment and qualification.
A practical comparison checklist
- Match the evidence. Prefer the same independent test method, settings and network conditions across phones; keep hours, percentages and manufacturer estimates in separate comparisons.
- Relate results to your day. Consider your screen time, mobile-data use, signal quality and demanding tasks, then decide whether you need a full day, two days or quick access to a top-up.
- Check charging practicality. Compare time to a useful charge level, compatible charger requirements, included accessories for your market, and wireless charging support if it matters to you.
- Verify the exact configuration. Confirm local price, storage, network compatibility and availability for the model you would actually purchase.
- Weigh how long you will keep it. Compare each phone’s stated OS and security support separately from battery-life evidence.
Tom’s Guide describes the A57 as doing well on battery life in its roundup, while assessing the Pixel 10a as a stronger budget pick. That is an editorial assessment, not a comprehensive, globally applicable ranking of the longest-lasting Android phones. Use it to identify models worth checking, then compare their results under a common method and verify local configurations and prices.
