The Redmi Turbo 5 has the stronger published battery and charging specifications, and its India listing claims a sharper display. The Samsung Galaxy A56 5G has the larger screen, a more varied rear-camera setup, and a specific six-year software-support commitment. There is no reliable current price difference to quote: the available official prices are from different markets and dates, so compare local offers for matching configurations.
Samsung Galaxy A56 vs Redmi Turbo 5: specifications
The figures below come from manufacturer announcements and product pages, not independent comparative tests. Xiaomi’s details are for the India product listing; Samsung’s specifications include U.S. and UK sources, and regional configurations may differ.

| Processor | Samsung’s U.S. specifications list CPU speeds of 2.9 GHz, 2.6 GHz, and 1.9 GHz; Samsung UK describes an octa-core CPU. | MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra, with a maximum clock speed of up to 3.4 GHz listed by Xiaomi India. |

Which phone has the better display?
The Galaxy A56 is larger by diagonal measurement: Samsung lists a 6.7-inch screen, compared with Xiaomi India’s 6.59-inch Redmi Turbo 5 display. Xiaomi’s India listing specifies a 1.5K resolution, while Samsung specifies FHD+. That points to a resolution advantage for the Redmi on paper, but the specifications alone do not establish how the screens compare in color accuracy, outdoor readability, or overall image quality.
Both manufacturers list 120 Hz refresh rates. Xiaomi’s India FAQ advertises peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits for the Turbo 5. Treat that as Xiaomi’s stated peak-brightness claim, not a verified real-world brightness measurement or a guarantee of sustained brightness across the screen.

Performance: what the processor figures do and do not tell you
Xiaomi India names the Redmi Turbo 5’s Dimensity 8500 Ultra and lists clock speeds up to 3.4 GHz. Samsung’s U.S. announcement gives three CPU speeds for the A56—2.9 GHz, 2.6 GHz, and 1.9 GHz—while its UK page describes the chip as octa-core. Clock speeds and core descriptions do not provide a fair measure of overall performance across different processors.
Xiaomi India advertises an “Antutu 2.3Mn+” result for the Redmi Turbo 5. This is Xiaomi’s own benchmark claim; the available sources do not provide an independent A56-versus-Turbo 5 benchmark run under matching conditions. Do not treat that figure as a direct comparison or a prediction of performance in every app or game.

The A56 therefore has a dedicated macro camera in its published specification, while the Turbo 5’s listed rear setup is simpler.

Battery, charging, and durability
Xiaomi India lists a 7,540 mAh battery and 100 W wired charging for the Redmi Turbo 5, compared with Samsung’s stated 5,000 mAh typical capacity for the Galaxy A56. Xiaomi also lists 27 W wired reverse charging. These are published capacities and charging specifications; they do not establish comparative battery life or the time each phone takes to charge in everyday use.
For water and dust resistance, Samsung lists IP67 for the A56, while Xiaomi India lists IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K for the Turbo 5. An IP rating describes tested resistance under specified conditions; it does not mean that a phone is immune to water or dust damage in every situation.

Software support and regional availability
Samsung’s 2025 U.S. announcement states that the Galaxy A56 5G will receive up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades and six years of security updates. Xiaomi India’s product page lists HyperOS 3 but does not establish an equivalent support period. That absence on the cited page is not evidence of a different duration; it means the same length of commitment cannot be confirmed from these sources.

Price difference: why the published figures are not a fair comparison
The official price references available here are tied to different countries, dates, and configurations. They cannot establish which phone is cheaper now or by how much.
| Phone and market | Published price evidence | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy A56 5G, United States | Samsung’s July 18, 2025 U.S. availability update stated a starting price of $499.99 and listed 128 GB and 256 GB storage variants. | A historical U.S. starting price, not a verified current offer or a price for every configuration. |
| Galaxy A56 5G, India | Samsung India’s 2025 announcement listed launch prices of INR 41,999 for 8 GB/128 GB, INR 44,999 for 8 GB/256 GB, and INR 47,999 for 12 GB/256 GB, before the described launch storage-upgrade offer. | India launch prices and offer context, not current retail prices. |
| Redmi Turbo 5, China | A Xiaomi China storefront search result showed a starting price of RMB 2,299; the year of that result is not established. | A region-specific storefront observation, not a verified current price or an India or U.S. price. |
For a useful price comparison, check current listings in the same country and match RAM and storage as closely as possible. Do not convert these historical and region-specific figures into a present-day price gap.
Quick Recap
Which one should you choose?
- Choose the Galaxy A56 5G if the larger listed screen, three-camera rear setup, or Samsung’s stated six-generation OS and six-year security-update commitment best fits your priorities.
- Choose the Redmi Turbo 5 if its India-listed larger battery capacity, faster wired charging, or higher stated display resolution matters more to you—and the exact regional model and local price suit your needs.
- Compare them in person or through reliable independent reviews if your decision depends on actual camera results, sustained performance, screen visibility, or battery endurance; the manufacturer specifications here do not settle those questions.
