The Galaxy A56 5G is the more firmly documented choice: Samsung confirms its specifications and six years of security updates. 91mobiles reports that the POCO X8 Power 5G has a larger battery, faster charging and a slightly lower displayed price in India, but an official POCO source for that exact model was not found. Treat its figures as unverified until you confirm the model and local listing.
At a glance: what the comparison says
The table separates Samsung’s manufacturer-confirmed details from the POCO figures reported by 91mobiles. The latter should not be mistaken for official POCO specifications.
| Specification | Samsung Galaxy A56 5G | POCO X8 Power 5G |
|---|---|---|
| Display | 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED, 120Hz; confirmed by Samsung | 6.83-inch AMOLED, 1280 × 2772, 120Hz; reported by 91mobiles |
| Chipset | Exynos 1580; confirmed by Samsung | Snapdragon 6 Gen 5; reported by 91mobiles |
| Rear cameras | 50MP main with OIS, 12MP ultrawide, 5MP macro; confirmed by Samsung | 50MP main and 8MP ultrawide; no macro camera listed by 91mobiles |
| Front camera | 12MP; confirmed by Samsung | 32MP; reported by 91mobiles |
| Battery and charging | 5,000mAh typical capacity and 45W charging support; confirmed by Samsung | 10,000mAh and 100W charging; reported by 91mobiles |
| Software updates | Six Android OS/One UI upgrade generations and six years of security updates; Samsung commitment | Four years of OS updates and six years of security updates; reported by 91mobiles |
| Displayed India price | ₹36,999 at Amazon, as displayed by 91mobiles | ₹35,999 at Flipkart, as displayed by 91mobiles |
| Reported release date | 2 March 2025, according to 91mobiles; Samsung separately announced the A56 | 4 September 2026, according to 91mobiles; no official exact-model confirmation found |
Samsung’s specifications and support commitment are documented in its Galaxy A56 announcement. The POCO specifications, release date, update policy and displayed retail prices come from the 91mobiles comparison page, rather than an official POCO source for the X8 Power.
Which phone has the bigger battery and faster charging?
On the figures reported by 91mobiles, the POCO X8 Power 5G has the larger battery (10,000mAh versus Samsung’s 5,000mAh typical capacity) and higher charging rating (100W versus 45W support). That makes the POCO look better on paper if battery capacity and charging wattage are your priorities. These specifications do not establish real-world battery life or charging time; usage, conditions and implementation matter.

91mobiles also reports battery-test results of 20 hours 45 minutes for the POCO and 10 hours 4 minutes for the Samsung. The page material does not provide enough test-method detail to treat those figures as a dependable head-to-head result, so they should not decide a purchase.
How do their displays and cameras compare?
91mobiles lists the POCO screen as slightly larger: 6.83 inches against the Galaxy A56’s 6.7 inches. Both are listed at 120Hz, but Samsung confirms its screen is FHD+ Super AMOLED; the POCO panel details remain comparison-page claims. A larger diagonal alone does not establish better image quality.

The rear-camera lists suggest different configurations. Samsung confirms a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide and a 5MP macro camera, plus a 12MP front camera. 91mobiles lists a 50MP main, 8MP ultrawide and 32MP selfie camera for the POCO, without a macro camera. Megapixel counts do not establish comparative photo quality, and the POCO setup needs exact-model confirmation.

Which phone offers longer software support?
Samsung commits to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades and six years of security updates for the Galaxy A56 5G. 91mobiles reports four years of OS updates and six years of security updates for the POCO X8 Power 5G, but that policy was not corroborated by an official exact-model POCO source. If long-term support certainty is important, Samsung’s commitment is the one established by the available manufacturer information.

What is the price difference in India?
At the time represented by the 91mobiles comparison page, its displayed listings were ₹36,999 for the Galaxy A56 5G at Amazon and ₹35,999 for the POCO X8 Power 5G at Flipkart—a ₹1,000 difference in the POCO’s favor. These are volatile displayed retail prices, not fixed launch prices or guaranteed checkout totals. Stock, memory configuration, seller and offers can change the amount; compare the same configuration and check the live listing before buying.

The official POCO specification page found is for POCO X8, a differently named phone. It lists an 8,340mAh typical battery, 67W charging and a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset. Those are not evidence for the POCO X8 Power 5G, and should not be substituted for the figures in the comparison.

Because an official announcement or specification page for the exact X8 Power model was not found, confirm the model name, regional specifications, availability and warranty with POCO or the seller before relying on 91mobiles’ listing. Do not assume that similarly named phones share hardware.
Quick Recap
Which one should you choose?
- Choose the Galaxy A56 5G if you value a manufacturer-confirmed six-year security-update commitment and a documented ultrawide-plus-macro rear-camera setup.
- Consider the reported POCO X8 Power 5G if its claimed 10,000mAh battery, 100W charging or lower displayed price matter most—but first verify that the exact model is officially available in your market and that the seller’s specifications and warranty match.
- Before paying, compare like-for-like memory configurations, live prices, network compatibility and local warranty terms. The available comparison does not establish a definitive overall performance winner.
