The POCO figures are secondary-source claims, not confirmed here by an official POCO product page.

Samsung’s Korea launch announcement gives the regional context.

Display: a modest size difference on paper
The listed POCO panel is 6.83 inches, compared with 6.7 inches for Samsung. Both are described as FHD+ AMOLED-family displays with a 120Hz refresh rate, although Samsung’s source specifies Super AMOLED. The figures establish the listed size and refresh rate, not comparative brightness, color accuracy, outdoor visibility, or viewing quality.
Cameras: compare the setup, not just megapixels
Samsung lists three rear cameras, including a 5MP macro camera, and specifies optical image stabilization (OIS) on its 50MP wide camera. The POCO listing identifies a 50MP main and 8MP ultrawide rear camera, plus a higher-resolution 32MP front camera. These specifications do not establish which phone takes better photos or video: megapixel counts alone cannot answer that, and the cited sources provide no controlled comparison.

Battery and charging: capacity is not a battery-life test
91mobiles lists a 10,000mAh battery and 100W charging for POCO, versus Samsung’s officially announced 5,000mAh battery. Samsung says a compatible Super Fast Charging 2.0 connection can charge the A37 to up to 60% in 30 minutes. Those are manufacturer-stated charging conditions for Samsung and listed specifications for POCO—not equivalent independent tests. The figures do not show real-world battery life, full-charge time, or how consistently either phone sustains its rated charging speed.

Samsung says the Galaxy A37 5G will receive up to six OS upgrades and up to six years of security updates. 91mobiles lists four years of OS updates and six years of security updates for the POCO X8 Power 5G, but that POCO support claim is not confirmed by an official POCO source here. Treat the two support figures accordingly: Samsung’s is a manufacturer announcement; POCO’s is a comparison-site listing.

Which phone fits your priorities?
Consider the POCO if battery capacity and the displayed price lead
- The cited India listing is ₹6,000 lower than Samsung’s listing, subject to current price and configuration checks.
- Its reported 10,000mAh capacity and 100W charging are the standout paper specifications, but independent endurance and charging tests are not established here.
- Confirm the POCO model’s regional configuration, current availability, warranty, and software-support terms with the seller or manufacturer before buying.
Consider the Samsung if official support details and camera stabilization matter
- Samsung’s stated commitment is up to six OS upgrades and up to six years of security updates.
- Samsung explicitly lists OIS on its 50MP main camera and includes a dedicated 5MP macro rear camera.
- Its cited India listing is higher, so compare the exact configuration and current checkout prices rather than relying on a snapshot.
Neither source establishes an independently tested overall winner. The useful choice depends on what matters most to you and on verifying the exact models and offers available in your market.
