Battery and charging
Motorola lists a 6500mAh silicon-carbon battery and 90W wired charging, against the Galaxy’s 5000mAh battery and listed 45W charging. The larger capacity and higher charging rating are advantages on paper, not a promise of longer runtime or a particular charging time. Actual endurance depends on use and conditions; the figures here are specifications, not a shared battery test.
Camera hardware
Motorola lists a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization, a 50MP ultrawide with autofocus and macro capability, and a 50MP autofocus front camera. 91mobiles lists Samsung with a 50MP main, 8MP ultrawide, 5MP macro and 12MP selfie camera. The Motorola’s higher-resolution ultrawide and selfie cameras offer more listed resolution and autofocus features, but megapixel counts alone cannot establish which phone takes better photos. No comparative photo test is available here.

Processor and memory
The listed chips are Exynos 1480 in the Galaxy and MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme in the Motorola. Motorola’s EMEA specifications also list 8GB or 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage. The comparison lists 128GB and 256GB Galaxy options, and 256GB or 512GB Motorola configurations. Check the exact local SKU: storage and memory combinations can vary, and a higher-tier processor specification alone does not guarantee a particular real-world speed advantage.

Lower listed India price
In the listings above, Samsung costs ₹3,000 less, though that gap is between different retailers and may not persist. If the current price difference in your market is substantial, decide whether Motorola’s display, battery, charging and camera specifications justify paying more for your chosen configuration.

Longer support reported by the comparison
91mobiles reports six years of OS and security updates for the Galaxy A37, versus three years of OS updates and five years of security updates for the Edge 70 Pro. Motorola’s EMEA page describes up to three years of OS upgrades plus security patches. Support terms can depend on region and exact model; check the current manufacturer commitment for the country and SKU you plan to buy before treating these durations as a guarantee.
Durability ratings are not damage guarantees
91mobiles lists IP68 for the Galaxy A37. Motorola’s EMEA page lists IP69/IP68 and MIL-STD 810H for the Edge 70 Pro. These labels describe performance under defined test conditions; they do not mean a handset is indestructible or that water and impact damage are impossible. Coverage for damage is a separate warranty question, so read the local warranty terms.

Which phone should you choose?
Choose the Motorola Edge 70 Pro 5G if its listed display, battery capacity, charging rate or camera hardware is the priority and the price premium makes sense in your local market. Choose the Samsung Galaxy A37 5G if you prefer the lower India listing and value the longer update period reported by 91mobiles—after confirming that support policy for your specific region. The choice is not settled by specifications alone: compare the exact local configurations and current prices before paying.
