If you want a larger Samsung phone and the lower reported U.S. launch price, choose the Galaxy A37 5G. If you prefer a more compact 6.3-inch phone, Google’s camera features, wireless charging, or a clearly stated seven-year update policy, consider the Pixel 10a. Compare current prices, storage options, and availability where you live before deciding: launch prices are not necessarily today’s prices, and neither phone is a proven winner for camera quality, speed, or battery life based on the available specifications alone.

Before buying, compare the exact storage configuration and the final local price, including any carrier conditions or fees. Prices and availability vary by market; do not assume the U.S. launch-price gap applies to your country.

Which screen and size are better for you?
Pixel 10a: the documented compact option
Google lists a 6.3-inch pOLED display with a 60–120Hz refresh rate for the Pixel 10a (Google Store). That makes it the smaller documented choice in this comparison, which may suit you if you prefer a phone that takes up less space in your hand or pocket.
Galaxy A37 5G: the larger-screen choice
Comparison coverage positions the Galaxy A37 5G as the larger-screen option, but the available details here do not establish a comparable exact screen measurement or resolution. Check Samsung’s listing for your specific country and model before relying on dimensions or display specifications (Samsung).

How long will each phone receive software support?
Samsung Galaxy A37 5G
Samsung says the new Galaxy A series offers “up to six generations of OS upgrades and long-term security support” (Samsung Electronics, March 25, 2026). “Up to” matters: this is not the same wording as a fixed number of years, and it does not promise identical rollout timing for every country, carrier, or model variant. Samsung’s update page lists an Android 16 security update for model SM-A376E released September 8, 2026, with a security patch level of August 5, 2026; Samsung notes that changes may vary by model, country, and service provider (Samsung update page).

Google specifies seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates for the Pixel 10a (Google Store). That is a clearly stated duration and set of update types. It should not be treated as identical policy language to Samsung’s “up to six generations” statement.

What do battery and charging specifications tell you?
Samsung lists a 5,000 mAh typical battery for the Galaxy A37 5G, while Google lists a 5,100 mAh typical battery for the Pixel 10a (Samsung; Google Store). The capacities are close, but they do not establish which phone lasts longer in everyday use. Google claims 30+ hours of Pixel 10a battery life; that is a manufacturer claim, not a matched independent runtime result.
Google lists Qi-certified wireless charging for the Pixel 10a. The available specifications do not establish a comparable wireless-charging claim for the A37, so check the exact Samsung model’s listing if wireless charging is important to you.

Which phone has the better camera?
Google lists a 48 MP wide camera and a 13 MP ultrawide camera on the Pixel 10a, along with Google camera and AI features (Google Store). Samsung describes the Galaxy A37 5G camera as upgraded, but the available official details do not provide enough directly comparable camera information to call either phone the hardware winner.
If you specifically want Google’s documented camera feature set, the Pixel 10a is the more straightforward fit. For a decision based on image quality, look for independent photo and video samples taken in comparable conditions; megapixel counts and feature lists alone cannot settle that question.
