The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion has the larger, faster-refreshing screen and a bigger battery on its India specification sheet; the Samsung Galaxy A36 5G has a clearly stated long-term software-support commitment. Neither official spec sheet establishes which phone takes better photos or performs better in everyday use. A current price difference cannot be stated without a country and matching storage configurations.

These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent measurements. Motorola cautions that specifications can vary by market, so the Edge 70 Fusion figures above apply to its India specification page and should not be assumed for other regional variants.
Which screen has the advantage?
Motorola lists a slightly larger 6.8-inch screen and a 144 Hz refresh rate, compared with Samsung’s 6.7-inch display and up to 120 Hz. A higher refresh rate can make supported scrolling and animations appear smoother, but the specifications alone do not establish how either screen behaves in every app or under sustained use.

Battery capacity and charging
On paper, the Motorola India configuration has a 7,000 mAh battery and 68W wired charging; Samsung specifies a 5,000 mAh typical battery and 45W charging. Capacity and charging wattage do not by themselves determine battery endurance or charging time, which also depend on usage and test conditions.
Samsung says the Galaxy A36 can provide up to 29 hours of video playback. That is Samsung’s manufacturer claim, not an independent battery test. Motorola’s India specifications state that a 68W charger is included in the box. Check the exact regional listing and package contents before assuming either phone’s bundle details apply to your market.

Software version and update commitment
Samsung’s India product page promises six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates for the Galaxy A36 5G. Samsung announced the phone in India on March 2, 2025. Motorola lists Android 16 for the India Edge 70 Fusion, but the cited specifications do not state a comparable number of OS upgrades or years of security updates. A listed Android version is not, by itself, an update-duration promise.

Processor and camera hardware
Motorola identifies the India Edge 70 Fusion’s processor as the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. The Samsung material cited here identifies an octa-core processor but does not name its chipset, so these sources do not support a processor ranking or benchmark comparison.

For rear cameras, Samsung lists a 50 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide and a 5 MP macro camera. Motorola lists a 50 MP Sony LYTIA 710 main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), plus a 13 MP ultrawide. These hardware details do not establish which phone produces better photographs or video; that requires comparable camera testing.
