Which display is better?
On the listed size, resolution and refresh rate, the Edge 70 Fusion has the advantage: Motorola’s India specifications give it a 6.8-inch 2772 × 1272 AMOLED display with refresh rates up to 144Hz. Samsung lists the A35 with a 6.6-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display up to 120Hz. A higher refresh-rate ceiling can make supported motion appear smoother, while screen appearance also depends on settings, content and other panel characteristics. Samsung’s Super AMOLED branding may matter to buyers comparing the exact retail models, but the cited specifications do not establish a universal image-quality winner.
Battery capacity, charging and tested runtime
Motorola’s India support page lists a 7,000mAh battery and 68W TurboPower charging for the Edge 70 Fusion. Samsung lists a 5,000mAh typical battery for the Galaxy A35 and describes its charging as Super Fast Charging without stating a wattage in the cited announcement. Motorola’s global launch announcement instead gives 5,200mAh, so the 7,000mAh figure should be treated as specific to the India specification, not as universal across all markets. Motorola’s India page also says a 68W TurboPower charger is included in that variant’s box; confirm local contents.

91mobiles reported PCMark battery test results of 17 hours 34 minutes for the Edge 70 Fusion and 13 hours 19 minutes for the Galaxy A35. Those are results from that publisher’s test, not promised everyday runtimes; workload, settings, software and test conditions affect battery life.
Camera hardware: what the specifications establish
Both phones list a 50MP main rear camera with optical image stabilization. The Motorola India model pairs it with a 13MP ultrawide camera that also supports macro use, while Samsung lists an 8MP ultrawide and a separate 5MP macro camera. The Motorola’s listed front camera is 32MP versus 13MP on the A35. These figures describe hardware, not comparative photo or video quality; sensor processing, lens performance and software also matter, and the cited material does not provide a controlled head-to-head camera test.

Samsung documents microSD expansion up to 1TB for the Galaxy A35. Motorola’s India page lists 128GB and 256GB internal-storage configurations and 8GB or 12GB RAM, but does not state microSD expansion there. If you keep large photo, video or offline-media libraries, verify whether the exact model supports expandable storage before buying.

Durability ratings and regional differences
Samsung lists IP67 water and dust protection for the A35. Motorola’s India specifications list IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD-810H for the Edge 70 Fusion. These ratings and claims are not interchangeable guarantees that a phone will survive every spill, drop, environment or use pattern. The Motorola support page warns that specifications may vary by market, and its launch announcement describes availability in select countries across Latin America, EMEA and Asia Pacific. It does not establish a US release or a single global price.

The 91mobiles comparison page surfaced ₹31,999 for the Galaxy A35 5G and ₹29,199 for the Edge 70 Fusion, both associated with Amazon India. The displayed gap was ₹2,800, with Motorola lower. Prices, sellers, stock and included configurations can change, so compare the live listings for the same storage variant and warranty terms before checkout. Samsung’s US announcement listed a starting price of $399.99 when the A35 launched in April 2024; that is historical US launch pricing, not a current quote or a comparable India-market price.
