The CMF Phone 2 Pro offers a larger screen and a dedicated 2x optical-zoom camera; the Galaxy A35 has a smaller Super AMOLED display and a higher water-and-dust rating in a secondary comparison listing. Neither is a universal winner. The better choice depends on your local price, preferred camera range, durability needs and software-support priorities.

Which phone has the better screen?
The CMF Phone 2 Pro has the larger panel at 6.77 inches, compared with 6.6 inches for the Galaxy A35. Both cited specifications reach 120Hz, but the display descriptions differ: Samsung specifies Super AMOLED, while Nothing calls the CMF panel flexible AMOLED and describes its refresh rate as adaptive. Choose based on preferred screen size and display characteristics rather than refresh-rate ceiling alone.

The CMF has a dedicated 50MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, giving it a hardware option for tighter framing without relying only on digital zoom. The Galaxy A35 camera list in the 91mobiles comparison instead includes a 5MP macro camera alongside its main and ultrawide cameras.

Those specifications describe camera hardware, not photo quality. Megapixel counts do not establish which phone produces better images, and there is no controlled, like-for-like camera test here. A preset or software mode may change a photo’s look, but it cannot establish that one phone’s camera is better overall.
Durability: understand the IP-rating difference
Nothing lists the CMF Phone 2 Pro as IP54 and cautions that water resistance is based on controlled conditions, can decline through wear or damage, and does not make the phone suitable for beach or pool use. The 91mobiles comparison reports IP67 for the Galaxy A35. That is a higher listed ingress-protection rating, but it is not a reason to treat either phone as safe for immersion; check the exact regional model and its official documentation before relying on its rating.

CMF Phone 2 Pro
Nothing says the CMF Phone 2 Pro receives three years of Android updates and six years of security updates, counted from its first availability on nothing.tech. That statement is the manufacturer’s published policy; this comparison does not establish an equivalent Galaxy A35 support period, so it cannot determine which phone will receive support longer.

Nothing lists 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB configurations for the CMF, with expansion up to 2TB. It also describes a phone-specific accessory point and compatible modular accessories including interchangeable lenses, a universal cover, wallet/stand and lanyard. Nothing says a case and pre-applied screen protector are included in the box. Regional configurations and box contents can vary, so confirm them with the seller before buying.

Price difference: compare local, like-for-like listings
There is no reliable universal price difference in the available figures. On a 91mobiles India comparison view captured for this article, both phones were shown at ₹18,999, but the CMF Phone 2 Pro was marked out of stock. The page also displayed a different refreshed Galaxy A35 comparison price elsewhere, so ₹18,999 should be treated only as a volatile listing snapshot—not a current guaranteed price or proof that the phones cost the same.
Samsung’s US launch announcement listed a starting price of $399.99 for the Galaxy A35. That is its historical US launch price, not a current street price, and it is not directly comparable to the India listing snapshot.

Which one should you choose?
Choose the CMF Phone 2 Pro if
- You want the larger 6.77-inch display.
- A dedicated 2x optical-zoom camera matters more to you than having a macro camera.
- You value the listed 185g weight, expandable storage or modular accessory options.
- Its published update policy meets your needs, and the local price is competitive.
Consider the Galaxy A35 if
- You prefer Samsung’s 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display.
- The higher IP67 rating reported by 91mobiles is important to your decision; verify the rating for your exact regional model.
- You prefer its camera arrangement, including a macro camera, over the CMF’s dedicated telephoto.
Before deciding, check the two phones’ exact local prices, storage configurations and support terms. The evidence here supports a feature-based choice, not a single overall winner.
