The Galaxy A27 5G has the lower announced U.S. starting price and newer listed software, while the Galaxy A35 5G has an 8MP ultrawide camera compared with the A27’s 5MP unit. Samsung announced U.S. starting prices of $349.99 for the A27 in 2026 and $399.99 for the A35 in 2024—a $50 difference between launch prices, not a current-price comparison. Neither phone can be declared the better overall choice from specifications alone.
How much do the Galaxy A35 and A27 cost?
In the U.S., Samsung announced the Galaxy A27 5G at $349.99, with availability beginning July 14, 2026. The Galaxy A35 5G launched at $399.99 in 2024. That makes the A27’s announced starting price $50 lower, but the prices come from different launch years and do not establish what either phone costs today. Prices and configurations vary by market. In India, Samsung announced the A27 at INR 28,999 for 6GB+128GB, INR 31,999 for 8GB+128GB, and INR 37,499 for 8GB+256GB, with a stated INR 3,000 cashback offer. Its 2024 A35 announcement listed INR 27,999 for 8GB+128GB and INR 30,999 for 8GB+256GB, with specified bank cashback conditions. Those are historical launch figures, and the base configurations differ, so they are not a like-for-like current-price comparison. Samsung’s cited U.S. specifications give display measurements diagonally, with rounded-corner caveats. Storage, availability, and other specifications may vary by market and carrier; check the local Samsung specification sheet for the exact model being considered. The U.S. announcements are the source for the table’s market-specific figures: Galaxy A35 5G and Galaxy A27 5G.
What differs in everyday-use terms?
Display size
Both phones have FHD+ Super AMOLED displays with refresh rates up to 120Hz. The A27’s listed screen is 6.7 inches, one tenth of an inch larger diagonally than the A35’s 6.6-inch display. Those figures describe screen size, not a tested difference in brightness, color, or outdoor visibility.

Processor and software
Samsung’s U.S. A27 announcement names a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor and lists Android 16 with One UI 8.5. The cited U.S. A35 announcement lists Android 14 with One UI 6.1 at launch but does not state its processor, so this comparison cannot establish a U.S. processor-to-processor performance result. Launch software does not tell you which version is currently installed on a particular handset, and these specifications alone do not establish benchmark performance.
Cameras
Both phones list a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS). The A35’s listed 8MP ultrawide has a higher resolution than the A27’s 5MP ultrawide; their macro cameras are listed at 5MP and 2MP, respectively. The A35 also lists a 13MP front camera versus 12MP on the A27. Megapixel counts describe resolution, not overall photo quality, and no controlled photo comparison is established by these specifications.

Battery and build
Both list a 5,000mAh typical-capacity battery, and Samsung lists 25W fast charging for the A27 in its U.S. materials. Capacity and charging specifications do not establish real-world battery life. The A27 is listed as 200g and 7.8mm thick; the A35 is 209g and 8.2mm thick. The A27’s U.S. specification also lists IP64, while the cited A35 U.S. source does not state an IP rating. An unstated rating is not evidence that a phone has no protection.
How long does Samsung promise to support each phone?
Samsung’s 2026 global A27 announcement promises up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades and up to six years of security updates from the initial global launch date. Samsung’s 2024 India A35 announcement states up to four generations of Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates. These are manufacturer support commitments, not an independent assessment of update delivery; the A35 statement is tied to Samsung’s India launch announcement, and regional terms or update status may differ. Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the A27 if its lower announced U.S. launch price, slightly larger listed display, newer listed Android version, stated six-generation/six-year support commitment, or IP64 rating matters most. Confirm the local configuration and current price before buying.
- Consider the A35 if the higher-resolution listed ultrawide camera is more relevant to you, or if a current local listing makes it the better-value option. Its U.S. launch price is only a historical reference point, not a current price quote.
The specifications do not settle which phone takes better photos, runs faster, or lasts longer on a charge. Those outcomes require comparable real-world testing, and none is established by the listed figures. Treat this as a feature comparison, then check current same-market listings and the exact regional model.
