The Galaxy A27 5G is the newer phone, with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor and a punch-hole display design; the Galaxy A26 5G counters with an 8MP ultrawide camera and a higher IP67 ingress-protection rating. They otherwise share a 6.7-inch, 120Hz Super AMOLED display format, 5,000mAh typical battery capacity, 25W charging and a similar long-term software-support promise. There is no reliable current price gap to quote without matching live prices for the same market and configuration.

Samsung’s screen measurements refer to the full rectangle; rounded corners and the camera opening reduce the viewable area. Samsung’s regional specifications can vary, so check the exact model sold in your market.
What is different between the Galaxy A26 and A27?
Processor: A27 has the newer platform
The A27 uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. Samsung identifies the A26 as using Exynos 1380 globally and Exynos 1280 in Latin America, so there is no single A26 processor specification that applies to every region. The A27’s newer platform is a spec-sheet upgrade, but the available information does not establish a real-world speed advantage or benchmark result.

Display design: similar panel, different front
Both phones use a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel with a refresh rate up to 120Hz. The notable visible change is the A27’s Infinity-O punch-hole camera and Samsung’s description of a more balanced bezel. Samsung lists the A27 at 162.4 × 78.2 × 7.8mm and 200g; its US A26 page lists a 7.7mm body.
Cameras: A26 has more ultrawide megapixels
Both models have a 50MP OIS main camera and a 2MP macro camera, but the A26 has an 8MP ultrawide while the A27 has a 5MP ultrawide. The A26 therefore has the higher-resolution ultrawide on paper; megapixel count alone does not determine image quality.

The A26’s listed front camera is 13MP, compared with 12MP for the A27. Samsung says the A27 front camera captures a wider range of brightness and richer colors than the A26. That is Samsung’s stated comparison, not an independent side-by-side test.

Samsung lists the A26 as IP67 and the A27 as IP64. The A26 therefore has the higher published ingress-protection rating. Neither rating means a phone is waterproof; avoid treating either device as safe for every exposure to water or dust.

Battery and software support: similar headline promises
Samsung lists a 5,000mAh typical battery for each phone and 25W charging in the cited specifications. The A27’s listed rated-minimum capacity is 4,860mAh. These figures do not show which phone lasts longer in everyday use, and no controlled battery-life comparison is established here.
Samsung describes six OS updates and six years of security updates for the A26. For the A27, Samsung says up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades and up to six years of security updates from initial global launch. The wording differs, so consider the published commitments similar in headline scope rather than identical policy language.

How much more does the Galaxy A27 cost?
The available US prices are from different dates and are not a current, like-for-like comparison:
- Samsung announced the A27 at a US launch starting price of $349.99 on June 25, 2026, with US availability stated for July 14. Samsung’s US buy page displayed $379.99 for an unlocked 128GB Black A27 when accessed on October 7, 2026. Prices can change.
- Samsung’s US MSRP sheet effective March 2026 lists the unlocked 128GB A26 at $299.99 and marks that SKU EOL. That MSRP does not establish the phone’s current street price or availability.
Because the figures are not synchronized current prices—and the A26 SKU is marked EOL—they do not support a dependable current price difference. To compare what you would pay, check both phones on the same day and in the same country, matching storage, RAM where listed, unlocked or carrier status, and new or used condition. Treat discounts and trade-in offers separately.

Is the Galaxy A27 worth choosing over the A26?
Choose based on the differences that affect your use, and compare current local prices before buying:
- Consider the A27 if you want the newer Snapdragon platform, its punch-hole front design or Samsung’s listed newer software features.
- Consider the A26 if its higher-resolution ultrawide specification or IP67 rating matters more to you, particularly if you find it at a substantially lower current price.
- Either may fit if your priorities are a large 120Hz Super AMOLED display, 5,000mAh typical battery capacity, 25W charging and long software support.
These are specification-based distinctions, not claims that one phone takes better photos, runs longer on a charge or performs faster in independent testing. Confirm regional model details and the support terms shown for the device you plan to buy.
