The Galaxy F70 Pro 5G has the higher listed display refresh rate and larger battery; the Galaxy A17 5G is lighter and lists a higher-resolution selfie camera. Both have 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED displays and the same listed triple rear-camera resolutions with OIS. There is no dependable, like-for-like current price gap in the available listings, so compare the exact RAM/storage variants and seller prices before choosing.

Display refresh rate
The F70 Pro lists a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, compared with up to 90 Hz for the A17 5G. A higher refresh-rate specification can allow smoother motion in supported content and interfaces, but these figures alone do not establish overall display quality or performance.

Battery capacity
The F70 Pro lists a typical capacity of 6,000 mAh; the A17 5G lists 5,000 mAh. Capacity is not a measured battery-life result: actual endurance depends on usage, settings, network conditions, and other factors. The cited official sources do not provide a controlled battery-life comparison between these phones.
Weight and selfie camera
The A17 5G weighs 192 g, 14 g less than the F70 Pro’s listed 206 g. Samsung lists a 13 MP front camera for the A17 5G and a 12 MP front camera for the F70 Pro. Resolution and weight are specification differences, not proof of better photos or comfort for every user.

Rear cameras and storage
Both phones list 50 MP + 5 MP + 2 MP rear cameras and OIS. Samsung also lists microSD expansion up to 2 TB for both. These specifications do not establish comparative image quality, and no independent camera testing is available in the cited sources.
Security support
Samsung India lists support-period endpoints of 31 August 2031 for the A17 5G and 31 July 2032 for the F70 Pro. These are published endpoints, not assurances that updates will arrive at the same time for every carrier or market.

Galaxy A17 5G price difference: what the available figures show
Samsung Newsroom India announced these A17 5G launch prices on 3 September 2025. They are historical launch prices, not current offers.

Later third-party comparison listings do not establish a reliable current price gap. Gadgets Now showed offer prices around ₹22,499 and ₹25,990, while Smartprix reported ₹24,499 and ₹26,282 for a specified 8 GB / 128 GB A17 comparison. Those figures differ by listing and variant and are not official price guarantees. The retrieved F70 Pro buy-page information is also internally inconsistent, so it cannot support a firm current premium.

For a useful live comparison, check both phones on the same date and seller basis, with matching RAM and storage where possible. Record the seller, variant, offer status, and date; an advertised offer price may not be available to every buyer.

Which phone should you choose?
Choose the F70 Pro for its listed specification advantages
- Its display is listed at up to 120 Hz rather than 90 Hz.
- Its typical battery capacity is listed as 6,000 mAh rather than 5,000 mAh.
- Its Samsung India support endpoint is later: 31 July 2032.
Choose the A17 5G if its listed advantages fit better
- It is 14 g lighter according to the listed weights.
- Its front camera is listed at 13 MP rather than 12 MP.
- Samsung announced India launch prices for three RAM/storage variants, giving historical price context; those launch prices do not show what either phone costs now.
Neither specification sheet establishes which phone is faster, takes better photos, lasts longer in real-world use, or offers better value at today’s prices. Base a purchase decision on your priorities and the exact current variant prices rather than inferring those outcomes from specifications alone.

Other A17 5G details to check before buying
Samsung Newsroom India says the A17 5G supports 25 W charging and microSD expansion up to 2 TB. Samsung also stated at launch that the A17 5G has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on the front and an IP54 dust- and splash-resistance rating; these are Samsung’s product claims, not independent test results. The same announcement said the travel adapter was not included in the package. Box contents can vary by market or retailer, so check the exact India listing and package contents before purchase.
