The vivo X300 FE is the higher-tier phone on paper, with a sharper 120 Hz AMOLED display, a more capable-looking camera setup, a larger battery and faster charging. The Samsung Galaxy A06 5G is a more basic device whose clearest advantages are its lower historical India launch prices and a stated software-support commitment. Their prices are not directly comparable as current offers: Samsung’s figures are from February 2025, while vivo’s is a changeable store listing.
Price difference: what the India listings actually show
There is a large apparent gap between the published figures, but they come from different dates and price contexts. Samsung announced the Galaxy A06 5G in India on 19 February 2025 at launch prices of ₹10,499 for 4GB+64GB, ₹11,499 for 4GB+128GB and ₹12,999 for 6GB+128GB. These are historical launch prices, not verified current selling prices. Samsung’s launch announcement lists those variants and prices.
The vivo India Store listing showed ₹94,999 for the X300 FE 12GB+256GB 5G configuration, against an MRP of ₹119,999, when accessed in 2026. That is a storefront snapshot, not a guaranteed current price; the listing can change.
So the figures indicate very different price tiers, not a dependable present-day price difference. For a purchase decision, compare live India listings for the specific configurations you can buy at the same time. The cited vivo listing is for 12GB+256GB, while Samsung’s historical prices cover three lower-memory configurations.

Display: bigger on Samsung, sharper and faster on vivo
The Galaxy A06 5G has the larger diagonal at 6.7 inches, which may suit someone who prioritizes screen size. Its HD+ panel is 1600×720 and has a 90 Hz refresh rate. The X300 FE’s 6.31-inch screen is smaller, but its AMOLED panel is substantially higher resolution at 2640×1216 and refreshes at 120 Hz. In specification terms, vivo offers the sharper, higher-refresh display; Samsung offers more screen area.

Panel technology and resolution are not a substitute for checking the screen in person if brightness, color rendering or viewing comfort is a deciding factor. The manufacturer specifications cited here do not provide a controlled comparison of those qualities. Samsung’s figures are listed on its Galaxy A06 5G product page; vivo’s are on its X300 FE specification page.

The A06 5G uses a MediaTek Dimensity 6300, while the X300 FE lists a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. The published chipsets put the vivo in a higher hardware tier. The supplied specifications do not include independent benchmark results or comparative testing, so they do not support a precise claim about speed in a particular app, game or everyday task.

Cameras: more focal options and stabilization on vivo
Samsung lists a 50 MP main rear camera and a 2 MP depth camera, with an 8 MP front camera. The vivo specification page lists a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a separate 50 MP telephoto camera with OIS, an 8 MP wide camera and a 50 MP autofocus front camera.
The X300 FE therefore has more stated rear-camera options and stabilization on both its main and telephoto cameras. That describes the hardware, not the quality of resulting photos or video: no controlled camera comparison is established here. Megapixel counts alone cannot settle which phone takes better pictures in a given scene.

Durability: understand what the ratings do and do not say
The Galaxy A06 5G is rated IP54, while the India X300 FE page lists IP68 and IP69. These are different manufacturer-listed ingress-protection ratings, not a promise that either phone is indestructible. Samsung cautions that the A06 5G is not advised for beach or pool use and that resistance may diminish with wear. Do not treat a rating as permission to deliberately expose a phone to water or dust.
Software and update support
Samsung’s February 2025 launch announcement says the Galaxy A06 5G is eligible for up to four generations of OS upgrades and four years of security updates, subject to the relevant market and policy caveats. The launch release identifies Android 15 and One UI 7. The vivo India specification page lists Android 16 and OriginOS 6, but it does not establish a comparable duration for OS or security updates. An OS version alone does not tell you how long a phone will receive support.
Quick Recap
Which phone fits your priorities?
- Consider the Galaxy A06 5G if you are shopping in its lower historical price tier, want the larger screen diagonal, and value Samsung’s stated update-duration commitment. Check today’s price and the exact storage variant rather than treating its 2025 launch price as current.
- Consider the vivo X300 FE if you want the higher-specification display, a processor listed in a higher tier, more rear-camera options with OIS on the main and telephoto cameras, and higher stated battery and charging figures. Confirm the live price and the regional accessory bundle.
- Do not choose on price alone using the cited numbers: they are not simultaneous, matched-configuration current offers. Nor do the specifications alone establish which device will take better photos or last longer per charge.
