At launch in India, the Galaxy F70e 5G was ₹1,000 more than the Galaxy A06 5G at each matching 128GB configuration. In return, the F70e offers a 120Hz display, a larger 6,000mAh battery and a six-year OS and security update promise. Those launch prices are not current-price quotes, and the F70e figures depended on bank cashback.
How much more did the Galaxy F70e cost at launch?
Comparing like-for-like 128GB storage configurations, Samsung’s India launch announcements put the F70e ₹1,000 above the A06 in both RAM tiers. The A06 prices below are listed launch prices from 19 February 2025; the F70e prices are net effective launch prices announced on 9 February 2026, including bank cashback.
| Configuration | Galaxy A06 5G launch price | Galaxy F70e 5G net effective launch price | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4GB RAM + 128GB storage | ₹11,499 | ₹12,499, including bank cashback | F70e ₹1,000 higher |
| 6GB RAM + 128GB storage | ₹12,999 | ₹13,999, net effective | F70e ₹1,000 higher |
Samsung also listed the A06 5G at ₹10,499 for 4GB+64GB at launch; there is no matching 64GB F70e configuration in the cited launch announcement. The F70e announcement additionally mentioned a ₹500 limited-time launch offer. Neither that offer nor the cashback-dependent figures should be treated as available now. Check the current price, variant, stock and applicable discounts before buying. Samsung’s A06 launch announcement and F70e launch announcement give the dated terms.

Display and performance
The F70e’s listed maximum refresh rate is 120Hz, compared with 90Hz for the A06 in 91mobiles’ comparison. A higher refresh rate can make supported scrolling and motion look smoother, but it does not by itself establish that every app or task will feel faster. Samsung’s A06 launch announcement does not state the refresh rate, so the 90Hz figure is secondary-source information.

Both launch announcements identify the MediaTek 6300 chip family. The naming alone does not prove identical real-world or sustained performance; no controlled side-by-side performance test is available here.
Cameras and durability
The listed camera resolutions match: each has a 50MP main rear camera, a 2MP depth camera and an 8MP front camera. Similar resolution figures do not establish equal image quality, and there is no controlled camera comparison supporting a claim that one takes better photos.

Both phones are rated IP54. That indicates dust and splash protection, not waterproofing. Samsung cautions that the F70e’s resistance is not permanent and advises against beach or pool use. Samsung India’s F70e specifications also list a 199g weight, a 3.5mm stereo jack, USB Type-C and microSD support up to 2TB for the 4GB/128GB model.

The F70e has 1,000mAh more stated battery capacity, while both phones list 25W charging. Samsung describes F70e battery life as “up to two days”; that is a manufacturer claim, not a measured head-to-head result. Actual endurance depends on network, settings and use.

The F70e has the longer published update commitment: six years for OS and security updates, with Samsung’s product page listing security updates through 31 January 2032. The A06 launch announcement promises four generations of OS upgrades and four years of security updates. These are published commitments, not a guarantee that a particular update arrives on the same date for every user.
Which phone should you choose?
Choose the A06 5G if the current deal is better
The A06’s documented price advantage was ₹1,000 at both matched 128GB launch tiers. Since those were prices from different launch dates—and the F70e figure included cashback—the useful buying comparison is the total price you can actually pay today for the same RAM and storage, after confirming discounts and eligibility.

Consider the F70e for its display, battery and support term
The F70e has concrete specification advantages if you value a 120Hz display, a larger stated battery and a longer update promise. Its 25W charging rating is the same as the A06’s, and the “up to two days” battery statement is not an independent test result.

Do not decide from megapixels or the chip name alone
The listed camera resolutions and IP54 rating are the same, and both announcements name the MediaTek 6300 family. Those similarities do not establish equivalent camera results, durability in every situation or sustained performance. If considering an imported handset, check that its network bands match your carrier: Samsung says supported bandwidths can vary by region or provider. The F70e’s India product page lists its bands and other model-specific specifications.
