On supported Samsung Galaxy phones, open Phone and go to More options (three dots) → Settings → Record calls → Recorded calls. If that menu is unavailable, check the Phone app’s Recents list, Voice Recorder, or My Files; the available route depends on your phone, software, carrier, and region.
Find saved call recordings in the Phone app
- Open Phone.
- Tap More options (the three dots).
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Record calls.
- Tap Recorded calls.
This is the path in Samsung Saudi Arabia’s support guidance, which cautions that steps can differ by Galaxy model and One UI version. Samsung Saudi Arabia: How to record calls on your Samsung Galaxy phone.
Check Recents or other Samsung apps
Look for a recording from Recents
On supported newer software, a call with a recording may show a microphone icon in Recents. Tap the call entry to open its recording details. Samsung US documents this route for supported Galaxy software; its availability should not be assumed for every country or model. Samsung US: How to record phone calls on Galaxy phones.

Check Voice Recorder and My Files
If you cannot find the recording in Phone, Samsung support also describes checking the Voice Recorder app for a call-recording section or searching My Files for call audio. The exact folder or menu can vary. See Samsung India’s Voice Recorder guidance and Samsung Colombia’s call-recording guidance.

Why “Record calls” may be missing
A missing setting does not by itself mean the phone is defective. Samsung identifies country and local regulations, model, carrier, and software as factors that can affect availability. Check the phone’s country of sale and its current software, then consult Samsung support for that market; a feature documented for one region may not appear on a device sold elsewhere. Samsung Saudi Arabia also notes that menu steps vary by model and One UI version in its call-recording guide.
Samsung US says its Samsung Phone dialer supports call recording on Galaxy phones updated to One UI 7.0 or higher. This is US support guidance, not a guarantee for every Galaxy phone or region. Samsung US: How to record phone calls on Galaxy phones.

Start a recording during a call
Where offered, Samsung’s guide describes starting a recording during a call through More options → Record call. Depending on the software, a Record control may appear directly or inside the More menu. Availability and the exact controls vary. Samsung’s One UI 8 guidance says participants receive an audio notification in the described recording flow; do not assume that every region or software version uses the same notice. Samsung Colombia’s regional guide says its native recorder is for traditional mobile-network calls and does not work with Wi-Fi calling or calls in apps such as WhatsApp and Telegram. This limitation is stated in that regional guidance and should not be treated as a universal description of every Samsung market or software build. Samsung Colombia call-recording guidance.
