Yes. Samsung’s Call & text on other devices feature can let a compatible Galaxy tablet make and receive calls and send messages using your Galaxy phone’s number. Sign in to the same Samsung account on both devices and enable the feature on each; support can still depend on the carrier, models, region, and software.
What Call & text on other devices does
Samsung describes the service as a way to use a phone’s number to make and receive calls and messages on other Samsung devices. In its documented phone-and-tablet setup, the tablet uses the Galaxy phone’s number rather than requiring a separate number for this feature.
This is a Samsung-account-based feature, not a guarantee that every Galaxy device can act as a phone. Samsung notes that model and carrier availability vary. Its Philippines support guide also says the phone and tablet must be in the same country or region.

- A compatible Galaxy phone and Galaxy tablet.
- The same Samsung account signed in on both devices.
- Call & text on other devices enabled on both devices.
- Support from the relevant device models and carrier in your country or region.
Samsung does not establish universal carrier or model compatibility. If the feature is missing from Settings, check support for your exact phone, tablet, carrier, and software rather than assuming that another Galaxy device will work.

How to turn it on for a Galaxy phone and tablet
- On the phone, open Settings and look for Call & text on other devices. Samsung’s Philippines guide gives the path Settings > Advanced features > Call & text on other devices.
- Turn on Call & text on other devices on the phone.
- Sign in to the same Samsung account on the tablet, then find and turn on the same feature there.
- Once both devices meet the requirements, Samsung says they connect automatically. Try placing a call or sending a message from the tablet.
Menus vary by model and software version. In its One UI 5 guidance for Galaxy devices running Android 13, Samsung describes connectivity options grouped under Connected devices. If the path above does not match your menus, search Settings for the feature’s name. Samsung’s guidance on the menu grouping is available in its Connected Devices article.
The Philippines guide also mentions a Quick panel toggle. Its location and availability can vary, so use the Settings search if you do not see it.

If the tablet cannot send messages
Samsung documents a specific fix for a Galaxy Z Fold6 or Z Flip6 paired with a tablet using Samsung Messages. It is not a universal setup requirement.
- On the tablet, check that Text on other devices is enabled.
- If the tablet uses Google Messages, open the profile menu, then go to Messages settings > Advanced and enable Text on Galaxy devices.
These steps are for the configuration Samsung describes in its Galaxy tablet messaging troubleshooting guide. Other combinations may have different causes or settings.

Tablets, watches, and Galaxy XR are not interchangeable
The phone-to-tablet workflow does not mean every Samsung device has the same calling and texting capabilities. Samsung’s device-specific guidance sets different boundaries:

The watch restrictions are stated in Samsung’s US support guidance and should not be generalized to tablet support or to carriers outside that context.
