The Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra is a premium cordless stick vacuum whose strongest case is powerful cleaning paired with a Clean Station that empties the vacuum’s dustbin into a bag. Its main caveats are just as important: Samsung’s headline 400AW suction figure is a brief, test-conditioned Jet-mode maximum; the 100-minute runtime applies only to minimum power; and the AI features depend on connected setup. In Homes & Gardens’ testing, the vacuum cleaned very effectively, but reviewer Dan Fauzi found its AI mode underwhelming. This review focuses on the US model VS90F40DMK/AA; contents, specifications, and warranty can vary by country and model suffix.
Is the Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra worth it?
It may be worth considering if you want strong cordless cleaning and the convenience of an auto-empty station, and are comfortable paying a premium and buying replacement station bags. The Clean Station cuts down on manual dustbin emptying, while the included motorized pet tool and floor brush broaden the vacuum’s usefulness. But don’t buy it for the 400AW figure as if that were sustained suction, or assume the AI will reliably choose the right settings without your involvement.
Homes & Gardens reviewer Dan Fauzi reported very effective cleaning on floors, carpets, and upholstery during testing at the publication’s test center and a local pet shelter. He also found that the motorized pet tool removed fur from upholstery, sometimes after several attempts. These are that publication’s test observations, not a guarantee of identical results in every home.

How it compares with alternatives
In Homes & Gardens’ comparison, the Dyson V15 Detect cleaned about as effectively as the Samsung in that review’s tests, while the Shark PowerDetect Cordless offered more advanced smart features but did not clean as thoroughly. These comparisons reflect the reviewer’s test set and assessment, not a universal ranking. Current prices and availability can change, so compare local listings before buying.

How strong is its suction, and how long does the battery last?
Samsung advertises up to 400AW of suction in Jet mode. The company’s measurement is taken at the inlet of a non-motorized tool, with an empty dustbin and a fully charged large-capacity battery; Samsung says the mode lasts up to one minute. Treat 400AW as a brief maximum under those conditions, not the vacuum’s sustained suction during a normal cleaning session. Samsung’s announcement gives the claim, and its US specification sheet lists the mode runtimes.

These are figures from Samsung Electronics America’s 2025 US specification sheet, measured with a non-motorized tool. Actual runtime varies with use. The 100-minute figure is for Min mode, not a promise of an hour and forty minutes at maximum power.

Does AI Cleaning Mode actually work?
Samsung says AI Cleaning Mode 2.0 senses brush load and vacuuming air pressure, classifies six cleaning environments, and adjusts cleaning performance automatically. With the Active Dual Brush, Samsung says it can distinguish normal carpet from long-pile carpet. The company also reports that, in its testing, the mode reduced battery power use by 21% and increased maneuverability by 8% while performing akin to Mid mode. Those are Samsung’s test claims, not independently established results.

Dan Fauzi’s Homes & Gardens review describes a less satisfying experience: in his evaluation, AI took a long time to calculate battery life and did not meaningfully adjust suction, so manual adjustment remained necessary. That is one reviewer’s observed result; it does not establish how every unit or firmware version behaves.
How well does it clean, and what are the trade-offs?
Homes & Gardens reported strong airflow relative to the cordless vacuums in its comparison set and effective cleaning across floors, carpets, and upholstery. The review also noted hairs and threads wrapping around the brushroll, despite the included Active Dual Brush and anti-tangle-focused pet tool. Expect to check and maintain the brushroll rather than assume it will never need attention.

What does the Clean Station change, and how much do replacement bags cost?
The station automatically empties the vacuum into a disposable bag, reducing how often you handle dust from the vacuum’s bin. For the US model, Samsung lists a 0.5L vacuum dustbin and a 2.0L Clean Station bag capacity, plus three station bags in the box. The station is a convenience feature with a recurring consumables requirement: owners need compatible replacement bags and should check their local availability.

Homes & Gardens reported a $39.99 price for a five-pack of replacement bags and estimated that pack could last 6–12 months depending on usage. This is a price and lifespan observation from that review, not a current price guarantee or a fixed replacement schedule. The US sheet also lists a washable filter and dustbin.

Samsung’s US specification sheet lists a two-year parts-and-labor warranty, a two-year battery warranty, and a ten-year motor warranty for model VS90F40DMK/AA.
