Samsung began fulfilling some Galaxy S25 preorders before general retail availability, but the early dates varied by market. In Singapore, customers could start receiving or collecting preorder devices on February 5, 2025—two days before Samsung’s stated February 7 general-availability date. Samsung announced February 7 availability in the U.S. and India as well, but its published information does not establish one early-delivery date for every order in those markets.
When did Galaxy S25 preorders and sales begin?
Samsung announced the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra on January 22, 2025, and opened U.S. preorders that day. Samsung India announced local preorder availability on January 23. The announced general-availability date in both the U.S. and India was February 7.

The documented early fulfillment was a preorder benefit in Singapore, not evidence of a worldwide shipment date. Samsung’s India preorder terms said estimated delivery dates depended on the customer’s location. An individual order could therefore arrive on a different day from another order, even within the same country.

- February 7 was Samsung’s announced general-availability date in the U.S. and India, not a guarantee that every preorder would arrive that day.

In its February 10, 2025 follow-up, Samsung India reported more than 430,000 preorders for the Galaxy S25 series, which it said was 20% higher than preorders for the Galaxy S24 series in India. These are company-reported figures, not an independent audit. Samsung also said it had expanded its flagship distribution network to 17,000 outlets; Raju Pullan, Senior Vice President of Samsung India’s MX Division, attributed that wider reach to serving demand in smaller cities. These India-specific figures do not establish shipment performance in other markets.
