Usually, no. If two-step verification is enabled on your Samsung account, your password alone generally will not complete sign-in. You still need an accepted second method, such as a code, a notification on a Galaxy device already signed in to your account, or a backup code. If you cannot use your usual method, try another option offered on the verification screen; Samsung does not document a universal way to skip the second step.
Choose a recovery option you can access
At the verification prompt, use an available method that was set up for your account. The options shown can depend on your account, device, and region.

If you lost or changed your phone number
- On the verification screen, select Didn’t get the verification code?
- Select Need to change your phone number? and follow the account recovery prompts.
- Wait for the review to finish before submitting another request. Samsung’s US guidance says the process may take two weeks and that a new request restarts the two-week period. Samsung account sign-in troubleshooting Samsung verification-code help
That timing is specifically stated in Samsung’s US guidance; it is not a guaranteed recovery timeline for every country. If the route is unavailable or does not resolve the lockout, contact Samsung support for account assistance. The exact menus and support options may differ by region. Samsung account support
Once you regain access, update your verification options
While signed in on a Galaxy device, open your Samsung account’s security settings and add a current phone number or another verification method if offered. Samsung Canada recommends adding a new number before removing the old one, so a number remains on the account. Depending on the region and account, settings may let you manage text-message numbers, Galaxy-device notifications, authenticator apps, backup codes, and trusted devices. Samsung Philippines states that two-step verification cannot be disabled, citing account security and privacy. Samsung Philippines: two-step verification This is not a route to bypass a sign-in prompt: an alternate device, authenticator app, or backup code is still a second verification method. The available official guidance does not establish that every method appears for every account or region.
