The 2026 77-inch Samsung S90H OLED (QN77S90HAEXZA) is best suited to a room where windows or lights would otherwise reflect on the screen. Its matte anti-reflective finish is the clearest advantage identified in RTINGS’ size-specific review. The 77-inch model also uses an RGB Tandem panel, so findings about other S90H screen sizes should not automatically be applied to it.

It is not the obvious choice for every room: RTINGS says the LG C6H has better processing and is brighter with most real content, while Samsung’s pricier S95H reaches higher peak brightness. Here is what matters when deciding whether this particular S90H fits your space and viewing habits.

What model is this, and what does it cost?

Samsung identifies its 2026 U.S. 77-inch S90H as model QN77S90HAEXZA; its product page also displays the family designation QN77S90HAE. Samsung’s U.S. product page showed $3,699.99 when checked on October 7, 2026, and Samsung’s newsroom listed the same amount as the 77-inch lineup price. That is a dated price, not a guaranteed current offer: check the exact model suffix, retailer price, stock, and delivery terms before buying. Why the 77-inch panel matters

RTINGS’ review updated October 2, 2026 identifies the 77-inch S90H as using an RGB Tandem panel. The S90H family does not use the same panel across all sizes: RTINGS’ North American size table lists standard WOLED for the 42-, 55-, 65-, and 83-inch models, and RGB Tandem for the 48- and 77-inch models. As a result, a review or specification for another size may not describe this television’s panel or performance. RTINGS’ 77-inch S90H review

RTINGS says the 77-inch model produces brighter, more vibrant colors than other S90H sizes and identifies the LG C6H as its main competitor. The tested sample’s warehouse-model suffix differs from the exact U.S. retail model number reviewed here, so treat the findings as size-specific test results rather than a claim that RTINGS tested a unit bearing the exact QN77S90HAEXZA suffix.

How well does it work in a bright room?

The matte anti-reflective coating is this model’s strongest supported reason to choose it. RTINGS considers it effective when windows or lights face the screen and says the S90H handles reflections better than the LG C6H. That can matter more to everyday viewing than a brighter highlight specification if distracting reflections are your main problem.

Reflection control does not mean the set is the brightest option in every respect. RTINGS says the LG C6H is brighter with most real content, and the S95H reaches higher peak brightness. The 77-inch S90H’s case is that it better maintains contrast in a bright room, not that it wins every brightness comparison.

What is the picture like for movies and HDR?

RTINGS describes strong black performance, vibrant color, and good HDR brightness. In a dark room, those traits support a punchy OLED picture. Two caveats are worth considering: very bright colors can look somewhat washed out, and slow panning shots can show noticeable stutter.

For a moderately lit room, RTINGS considers the S95H’s additional brightness less necessary. If you prioritize the impact of bright highlights or vivid sports, the S95H’s higher peak brightness may matter more. If you watch with substantial ambient light, the S90H’s reflection handling and contrast retention may be the more useful trade-off.

Is the 77-inch S90H a good gaming TV?

Samsung advertises Motion Xcelerator 165Hz, NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible, and FreeSync Premium Pro. RTINGS’ series review says the S90H has four HDMI 2.1 ports capable of 4K at 165Hz and supports variable refresh rate (VRR). These are S90H series-level specifications; the refresh rate and VRR mode you can use depend on the connected device’s output, a suitable cable, settings, and support in the game itself. What about streaming formats, software, and sound?

HDR formats

RTINGS’ S90H series review notes that the television does not support Dolby Vision. This is a series-level finding, not a separately measured format test of the 77-inch retail suffix. If Dolby Vision support is a requirement for your streaming or disc setup, account for that before choosing it.

Smart TV and updates

RTINGS describes the S90H as running Samsung’s 2026 Tizen platform and identifies the NQ4 AI Gen3 processor. Samsung says its 2026 OLED models are eligible for up to seven years of OS updates; Samsung’s fine print also specifies Samsung Account and internet requirements for network-based services. The update statement and service terms are Samsung’s, and buyers should verify which terms apply in their region. RTINGS’ S90H series review Samsung’s 2026 OLED announcement

Built-in audio

Samsung’s announcement specifies Object Tracking Sound Lite for the S90H, compared with Object Tracking Sound+ on the S95H. Tom’s Guide reports a 40W, 2.1-channel system for the S90H size it reviewed, but that is not an independent audio measurement of the 77-inch unit. How does it compare with the LG C6H, S95H, and S85H?

Alternative What the cited coverage establishes Most relevant if you prioritize
LG C6H OLED RTINGS says it shares the 77-inch S90H’s panel; the Samsung handles reflections better, while the LG has better processing and is brighter with most real content. Compare the two based on reflections versus processing and real-scene brightness.
Samsung S95H OLED RTINGS says the S95H reaches higher peak brightness, while the 77-inch S90H better maintains contrast in a bright room. RTINGS considers the S95H’s added brightness less necessary in moderately lit rooms. Choose what matters more: peak brightness and highlight impact, or reflection handling and bright-room contrast.
Samsung S85H OLED Tom’s Guide frames the S85H as a cheaper series alternative and the S95H as a step-up; its review is not a size-specific test of the 77-inch S90H and does not establish a current price ranking. Check current model-specific features and prices before deciding whether the savings justify a different model.

Who should buy the Samsung 77-inch S90H?

  • Consider it if you want a 77-inch OLED and reflections from windows or lights are a major concern.
  • Compare it with the LG C6H if processing and brightness with most real content matter more to you than the S90H’s matte finish.
  • Compare it with the S95H if high peak brightness for highlights or sports is a priority.
  • Check the exact size and model when using reviews or specifications, because S90H panel type varies by screen size.

Installation details deserve the same model-specific care. Samsung’s Latin American page for the matching model code lists 400 × 300 mm VESA mounting and four HDMI ports with 4K 165Hz support, but those regional details are not a substitute for confirming the U.S. unit’s specifications. Verify the U.S. manual and the mount maker’s load rating before choosing a mount. Samsung Latin America product page
