The 2024 75-inch Samsung Terrace Full Sun (LST9D, U.S. model QN75LST9DAFXZA) is designed for outdoor viewing in direct sun, but Samsung’s U.S. product page listed it at $9,999.99—not $7,000—when captured in 2026. Samsung’s product claims make it a purpose-built option for exposed locations; they do not establish independent picture-performance results or make it weatherproof under every condition.
What this Samsung Terrace review covers
This is Samsung’s 2024 75-inch Terrace Full Sun, model LST9D. Samsung identifies the U.S. version as QN75LST9DAFXZA and describes it as a Full Sun outdoor smart TV with Neo QLED picture, Mini LED Quantum Matrix and IP56 durability. Those are manufacturer specifications, not findings from an independent test. Samsung’s U.S. product page is the source for the model and its current listed price: Samsung 75-inch Terrace Full Sun.
The available information does not establish hands-on testing, independent brightness measurements, long-term reliability, or installation costs. This review therefore assesses what Samsung says the set is for, what its price means, and how to choose between it and the Partial Sun model—not how it performed in a lab or at a particular home.

Samsung’s U.S. product page showed a list price of $9,999.99 when captured in 2026, and the captured result showed delivery and pickup as unavailable. That is a dated manufacturer listing, not a guaranteed checkout price or proof of present stock. A $7,000 price may reflect a particular seller, promotion or earlier listing, but no seller, date or offer terms are established here. Check the live price, availability, delivery and return conditions before treating $7,000 as an actual offer.

What Full Sun and IP56 mean—and do not mean
Samsung positions the LST9D for direct-sun outdoor use and lists IP56. The rating is a product specification, not a promise of unlimited protection from weather, heat or every installation condition. Likewise, Full Sun describes the model’s intended use; it should not be read as proof that the screen remains at maximum brightness in every combination of sunlight, temperature and viewing duration.
Samsung Canada’s LST9D page warns that brightness may decrease to protect the panel under some high-temperature and sunlight conditions, or after more than six hours of continuous viewing. That is a manufacturer warning, not a published operating threshold for every region or installation. Check the manual and warranty for the exact regional model before installing the TV outdoors. The Canadian product page identifies its regional LST9D variant as a 75-inch Full Sun Neo QLED 4K outdoor smart TV: Samsung Canada LST9D.

Do not transfer older Terrace specifications to the LST9D
The predecessor LST9T is a different generation. Samsung Canada lists that model at IP55 and 1,500 nits typical brightness, and says it must be installed in a shaded area. Samsung’s LST9T brochure says, “Panel protected up to 6 hours in sunlight at 700 watts and 104 degrees Fahrenheit.” Those figures and that sunlight statement apply to the LST9T materials; they do not establish the LST9D’s brightness or operating limit. See Samsung Canada LST9T and the LST9T brochure.

Terrace Full Sun vs Partial Sun
The right choice depends first on where the screen will sit. Samsung’s 75-inch Partial Sun LST7D is a separate model intended for shaded or partially sunny locations; it is not an equivalent substitute for an exposed, direct-sun installation. Samsung’s U.S. page lists the LST7D at $6,499.99 and IP56, alongside the Full Sun LST9D’s $9,999.99 listing. These prices were captured in 2026 and can change.

| Model | Intended sun exposure | Samsung U.S. listed price (captured 2026) | Samsung U.S. listed rating |
|---|---|---|---|
| 75-inch Terrace Full Sun LST9D (QN75LST9DAFXZA) | Full Sun positioning | $9,999.99 | IP56 |
| 75-inch Terrace Partial Sun LST7D (QN75LST7DAFXZA) | Shaded or partial-sun location | $6,499.99 | IP56 |
Both prices and ratings above come from Samsung’s U.S. product listings; they do not represent independent testing or guaranteed transaction prices. The LST7D listing is Samsung 75-inch Terrace Partial Sun. Compare the models against the sun exposure at your actual mounting location, the applicable regional specifications, current price and warranty—not price alone.
Installation and accessories to verify
Samsung lists a Terrace outdoor dust cover for 75-inch models and a Terrace wall mount for 65- and 75-inch models. A listing does not prove that every accessory SKU fits every regional LST9D revision. Before ordering, match the accessory to the exact TV model, mounting pattern and wall structure, and follow the TV’s outdoor installation instructions. A cover does not replace those instructions. Samsung’s product listing includes the Terrace accessories.

Is the Samsung Terrace Full Sun worth the price?
It may make sense when a 75-inch screen must be installed in an exposed location and the buyer wants Samsung’s specifically Full Sun outdoor model. The manufacturer’s positioning and IP56 listing are relevant to that choice, but they cannot answer whether the TV will suit a particular site or whether its image will meet a buyer’s expectations. No independent test results or verified $7,000 offer are established here.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?

If the installation is shaded or gets only partial sun, evaluate the LST7D as the purpose-specific alternative, while recognizing that it is not presented as a direct-sun replacement. Before buying either model, confirm the precise regional model number, placement guidance, warranty, accessory compatibility, live price and stock with Samsung or the seller.
