Salesforce has signed an agreement to acquire Listen Labs, an AI-powered customer research platform, but the deal has not been described as completed. Salesforce disclosed no purchase price; the approximately $2 billion figure is reported, not confirmed deal consideration.
What Salesforce agreed to acquire
Salesforce announced on September 29, 2026, that it had signed a definitive agreement to acquire Listen Labs. The announcement describes an agreement, not a completed acquisition. Salesforce’s announcement says the transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of Salesforce’s fiscal year 2027, subject to customary closing conditions, including required regulatory clearance.
Is the $2 billion price confirmed?
No. Salesforce did not disclose the purchase price. SiliconANGLE reported an approximately $2 billion deal value, while noting that neither company had disclosed terms. Treat that amount as reported, not as official consideration. SiliconANGLE’s account attributes the figure to earlier reporting.

What Listen Labs does
Salesforce describes Listen Labs as a platform whose AI agents can design research studies, recruit participants, conduct in-depth interviews and synthesize findings. It also describes “digital twins” as simulations grounded in real customer behavior, intended to help teams explore potential responses to products, marketing messages or ideas before further testing. These are Salesforce’s descriptions of the product, not independently verified performance findings.
Salesforce says the platform can draw on a global network of more than 50 million potential participants, conduct interviews in more than 120 languages and compress research timelines from months to days. Those figures are company claims, not independently measured comparative results.

Why Salesforce says the deal fits
Salesforce says Listen Labs will expand its ability to understand customers and users, complement Marketing Cloud and Service Cloud, and add to its broader AI portfolio. The announcement sets out Salesforce’s rationale; it does not establish that integration, customer outcomes or post-acquisition availability have already followed.
Salesforce President of AI Labs Aman Naimat said Listen Labs had “reimagined customer experience, market research, and customer simulation with AI agents.” Listen Labs CEO and co-founder Alfred Wahlforss said AI could let companies have thousands of real conversations at once and simulate customer responses. These are statements by parties to the transaction, not independent assessments.
