Saints tight end Noah Fant was listed with an abdomen injury and limited participation on both Thursday and Friday, according to New Orleans’ official Week 4 injury report. That repeated designation does not determine whether he will play against Atlanta on Monday, October 5.
What the Saints’ Friday report says
New Orleans listed Fant with an abdomen injury. He was limited in Thursday’s practice and remained limited Friday, rather than advancing to full participation in either of the two listed sessions. The team’s report records practice participation; it does not provide a diagnosis detail or a forecast of his availability.
The Saints’ game against the Atlanta Falcons was scheduled for Monday, October 5. As of Friday, the report established Fant’s practice status—not a game designation.
Does another limited practice mean Fant will play?
No. A limited designation by itself is not confirmation that a player will be active, nor does it establish that he will miss the game. The Friday update did not settle Fant’s availability. A CBS Sports report published October 2 said Saturday’s injury report would provide another update. Check that later report for the next official status.

The CBS Sports brief credited Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football for the practice report. Neither it nor the Saints’ injury listing included a named injury statistic or a direct statement from a named speaker describing Fant’s abdominal condition.
Fant’s production through three games
Separately from his injury status, CBS Sports’ 2026 player page listed Fant with eight receptions, 66 receiving yards and three touchdowns through three games; it also reported 12 targets over that span. These are season statistics, not evidence of his health or a prediction about Monday’s availability. See CBS Sports’ Noah Fant statistics page.
