Safari’s Notify Me feature can alert you when a webpage changes content you care about, such as a product price or item listing. On Mac, open the page, choose Page menu > Notify Me in the Smart Search field, describe the change, and click Done. An iPhone walkthrough is also available, though Apple’s cited guide documents the Mac steps.
What Safari Notify Me does
Notify Me uses Apple Intelligence to monitor a webpage for a change you describe. Safari sends a notification when it detects an update that matches your interest; it is not a promise of an immediate alert or a guarantee that every page or type of change will be detected. Apple’s example is a price or item change. Apple’s Safari User Guide explains the feature.
Set up Notify Me on a Mac
- Open the webpage you want to monitor in Safari.
- Click the Page menu in the Smart Search field.
- Choose Notify Me.
- Enter a short description of the content change you want Safari to watch for.
- Optionally click Edit to choose a checking frequency or time.
- Click Done.
Safari will notify you when it detects an update. Apple documents this flow in its Mac setup instructions.

- Open the webpage in Safari.
- Tap the Page Menu button in the Smart Search bar.
- Choose Notify Me, then describe the change you want to track.
- Tap Edit if you want to adjust the schedule, then confirm the alert.

Choose a checking schedule
Apple’s Mac guide confirms that you can adjust the checking frequency or time but does not list specific intervals. The Cult of Mac walkthrough reports that daily is the default and that hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly options are available. These are scheduled checks, not a real-time monitoring guarantee.

Match the schedule to how often the page is likely to change. A job listing or event page may warrant more frequent checks than a monthly price review. The feature’s usefulness depends on Safari detecting a relevant update on the page.

Examples include a product price, an item’s availability, a tour schedule, a local-government page, an app release page, or a job listing. These are possible uses, not confirmed guarantees for every site or alert type. For changes that are urgent or consequential, check the original website directly rather than relying only on a Safari notification.
