PS5-specific immersion features
The U.S. PlayStation listing identifies PS5 and PS5 Pro support, DualSense vibration and trigger effects, and one-player play. GSC’s Patch 1.2 notes, published March 10, 2025, reported more than 300 quest issues addressed in the main story, more than 450 improvements in a listed section, and almost 100 fixes involving audio, cutscenes, and voice-over. Those are counts of work addressed in that historical patch, not a current bug tally. Past problems varied by platform and situation
Patch 1.5 listed fixes for performance drops, save-loading hangs, mission progression, and Xbox quick-resume problems involving audio and input. A historical fix list is not proof that every issue still occurs, nor that every system experienced the same issues. - Choose an edition by content: compare what the local Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate listings include, and whether you want Cost of Hope. Availability and bundles may vary by region.
Verdict
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is most compelling for players who value its dangerous atmosphere and survival-focused exploration. Its history of substantial fixes is a real reason to check the latest reports for your platform before buying, but old patch counts cannot tell you how the game behaves on your system now.
