The right battery weed eater is usually the one that fits your existing battery system and the work you actually do. If you already own compatible batteries, start there; otherwise, compare exact trimmer models, kit contents, features, and local support. Ryobi, EGO, Greenworks, and STIHL all sell cordless string trimmers, but their catalogs do not establish a fair, across-the-board performance winner.

EGO’s lineup includes models with POWERLOAD or LINE IQ, but these are model-specific features. Compare the exact model’s functions and included equipment rather than treating either name as a standard feature across the POWER+ range.

How to judge runtime without misleading comparisons
Runtime depends on the exact tool, battery, and work conditions. Greenworks advertises up to 53 minutes for a particular U.S. 60V 16-inch brushless trimmer when used with a 2.5Ah battery. That is the manufacturer’s model-specific claim, not an independent test or a directly comparable figure for another brand.
For your own decision, consider the area you trim, how dense the growth is, how much edging you do, and whether you can recharge or swap batteries during the job. Compare runtime claims only when the model, battery, workload, and measurement method are sufficiently alike. The available manufacturer information does not establish matched runtime, cutting performance, weight, noise, vibration, or durability results across equivalent models from all four brands.
