Use a tier list to shortlist heroes, then choose a team by checking which roles and ability interactions suit the activity you are playing. A high placement is not a guarantee that a hero belongs in every lineup, and rarity alone does not determine fit.
What the current tier list can—and cannot—tell you
Pocket Gamer’s Rumble Heroes tier list was updated October 5, 2026, for game version 2.2.135. It groups heroes into S, A, B, and C tiers. Treat those placements as a dated editorial snapshot, not an official developer ranking or a permanent measure of performance.
The guide describes rarity as a useful but incomplete clue: some Epic and Rare heroes can be strong choices because their abilities work well in particular compositions. It also notes that heroes placed lower can still perform well in the right team. A tier is therefore best used to narrow your candidates, not to make the whole team-building decision.
Choose for the job your team needs done
Before comparing individual placements, identify what your current lineup lacks. Useful roles to consider include staying power, healing, damage, area coverage, crowd control, and debuffs. A hero can be valuable because they fill a missing role or make another hero’s ability more useful—not simply because their tier is higher.

- Survivability and healing: Ask whether the team needs help staying alive, and whether the hero offers healing or protection.
- Damage and area coverage: Consider both the damage a hero contributes and whether their attacks help cover groups of enemies or a single target.
- Control: Look for abilities that hinder or manage enemies when the activity makes that useful.
- Debuffs and ability interactions: Check whether an effect such as bleed, burn, or frostbite complements another hero’s skills or the activity’s rules.
Pocket Gamer’s examples illustrate why a role-based comparison can matter. Holy Mace Paul combines area damage and healing; Big-Sickle Jennifer applies bleed that may help against bosses; and Ice Bobo offers frostbite crowd control alongside an attack increase for allies. These are situational strengths, not evidence that any one of them belongs in every team.
Compare heroes against your lineup and activity
- Name the gap: Decide whether you need healing, protection, more damage, area coverage, control, or a debuff.
- Check for overlap: Ask whether a candidate fills that gap or mostly duplicates what your team already does.
- Look for a useful interaction: Consider whether the candidate’s damage type, debuff, healing, or control complements another hero’s ability.
- Match the activity: Check whether the mode’s enemies or mechanics reward that role or interaction.
- Use the tier as a tie-breaker: When candidates meet the same need, the current ranking can help prioritize whom to consider, but it does not establish a universally best lineup.
Official patch notes show why the activity and ability interactions deserve attention. The May 29, 2025 update notes describe Frozen Shield Arthur as able to taunt nearby enemies, shield allies, and boost attack. The June 27, 2025 update notes describe Flameblade Ken as applying burn and bleed, and a season-specific Abyss ally as growing stronger when allies inflict burn. These are dated examples of skill and seasonal interactions; they should not be read as confirmation that the 2025 seasonal rule is active in 2026.

Check the version and the strength of the evidence
Rumble Heroes is a single-player mobile action RPG whose Google Play listing highlights one-handed controls, recruiting and raising heroes with different skills, exploration, dungeons, and equipment progression. The listing shows an update date of September 29, 2026. That broad update context does not make an older skill interaction or tier placement current by itself.
