The GeForce RTX 5080 Super is not confirmed by NVIDIA. Rumors reported a possible 24GB of GDDR7 and power above 400W, while retaining the standard RTX 5080’s 10,752 CUDA cores. A later report cited a 415W entry in Seasonic’s PSU calculator, but that figure is also unconfirmed. NVIDIA’s documented RTX 5080 has 16GB of GDDR7 and a 256-bit memory interface.

Is the RTX 5080 Super confirmed?

No. The sources available do not establish an NVIDIA announcement, final specifications, price, launch date, or retail availability for an RTX 5080 Super. Tom’s Hardware’s later roundup also reported that NVIDIA quashed rumors of an RTX 50 Super announcement at CES 2026, while continuing to label the lineup unconfirmed: Tom’s Hardware’s RTX 50 Super rumor roundup.

That makes “RTX 5080 Super” a rumor label, not the name of a currently documented product. Treat listings or discussion using that name accordingly; a card available for sale as a GeForce RTX 5080 is the standard model unless its identity is independently established.

What is rumored, and what is official?

Specification RTX 5080 Super rumor Standard RTX 5080, per NVIDIA
Memory 24GB GDDR7, attributed to a hardware leaker in Tom’s Hardware’s May 20, 2025 report; not confirmed by NVIDIA. Source 16GB GDDR7. NVIDIA specifications
Memory interface Not stated in the cited rumor report. 256-bit. NVIDIA specifications
CUDA cores 10,752, the same count as the standard RTX 5080, according to the rumor report; not a confirmed Super specification. Source 10,752. NVIDIA specifications
Power Initially reported as over 400W; on July 7, 2026, Tom’s Hardware reported a 415W Seasonic calculator entry for an unannounced card. Neither figure is NVIDIA-confirmed. 2026 report Not compared here; the cited rumor reports do not establish a verified Super power requirement.

NVIDIA’s official product page lists the standard card’s specifications and notes that board-partner specifications may vary. Its Blackwell architecture document says the full GB203 chip has 10,752 CUDA cores and identifies the RTX 5080 as the first GeForce RTX 50 product launching on GB203. That provides context for the standard card’s core count; it does not confirm a Super model. RTX 5080 specifications · NVIDIA Blackwell architecture

What the rumored figures would mean

24GB would add capacity, not prove a performance gain

The rumored 24GB is 8GB more than the standard RTX 5080’s official 16GB. More memory capacity can matter for workloads that need it, but capacity alone does not establish how fast a card would be. The rumor does not supply confirmed memory bandwidth or independent performance results, so it cannot show whether a hypothetical Super would be faster in games or other applications.

The core count is not rumored to increase

The reported 10,752 CUDA cores match the standard RTX 5080’s official count. In the rumor as reported, the suggested changes are memory capacity and power—not a higher CUDA-core count. The shared number is not proof that the rumored card exists or that it would perform like any particular product.

415W is a reported calculator value, not a PSU recommendation

The 2026 figure came from a Seasonic calculator entry described by Tom’s Hardware, which explicitly noted that NVIDIA had not confirmed specifications. It is not a verified board power measurement or a complete-system power target. Do not use it alone to select a power supply for a card whose final requirements are unknown.

What NVIDIA has said about supply

In reporting about rumored Super-series delays, Tom’s Hardware quoted NVIDIA: “Demand for GeForce RTX GPUs is strong, and memory supply is constrained. We continue to ship all GeForce SKUs and are working closely with our suppliers to maximize memory availability.” The statement addresses GPU and memory supply generally; it does not confirm an RTX 5080 Super or its timing.
