Some Rogers mobile customers were notified of a monthly plan increase of up to $5 plus tax, beginning with bills dated on or after July 15, 2026. It is not a confirmed price increase for every Rogers customer or plan: check your own notice and bill for the amount that applies to your account.
What Rogers customers were told
MobileSyrup reproduced text from a customer’s Rogers bill notice describing a $5 monthly increase, plus tax. The notice said the adjustment would begin with the customer’s next bill on or after July 15, 2026, and appear under Monthly Charges as “Wireless Plan Rate Adjustment.”
“To help support these investments, the monthly fee for your wireless price plan will increase by $5 (plus taxes), starting with your next bill, on or after July 15, 2026.”

The notice also said the rest of the customer’s wireless services would remain the same. MobileSyrup reported that some customers saw a $4 increase as well. Its reporting does not establish a complete list of affected plans or subscribers, so neither amount should be assumed to apply to every account. MobileSyrup reported the notice and examples.

How to check whether your bill changed
- Look for a direct notice. Check the billing statement or account message Rogers sent you for the amount and effective date.
- Review Monthly Charges. If you received the described notice, look for “Wireless Plan Rate Adjustment” and compare it with the notice.
- Check the full bill in MyRogers. Rogers says its billing section can help investigate why a bill is higher. Review other line items too: a plan change during a billing period can result in partial charges. Rogers billing help explains how to investigate a higher bill.
- Ask Rogers about any mismatch. If the charge, timing or description does not match your notice, contact Rogers using the options in your bill and ask it to explain the specific line item.
What the CRTC letter says—and does not say
A June 23, 2026 letter from CRTC staff says the regulator had been informed that Rogers planned to notify mobile wireless customers of a $5 monthly adjustment effective July 15. The letter raises questions about compliance with the Wireless Code and requests information from Rogers; it is not a final CRTC ruling that the increase violated the Code or that every customer was affected. Does Rogers’ five-year price guarantee protect you?
Rogers describes a five-year monthly price guarantee for eligible 5G+ Ultimate plans. The offer is for new customers on an eligible plan and existing customers who switch to one. The guarantee applies to the plan’s monthly price, including ongoing discounts, while the customer stays on that same plan and continues to meet applicable requirements. For example, a customer receiving an Auto-Pay discount must keep Auto-Pay enabled to retain it; limited-time discounts can still expire. That offer does not, by itself, establish that a customer who already received an adjustment notice is protected. Check your plan, the terms that apply to your account and the notice you received rather than assuming the guarantee covers you.
Should you change plans or switch providers?
Compare the cost and terms of your own options before changing service. A lower advertised plan price may not mean a lower total bill once tax, discounts, features and other costs are considered. Check:

- the total monthly price after tax and any discounts, including when promotional discounts end;
- coverage where you live, work and travel;
- the included data allowance and any speed terms;
- roaming, calling and other features you rely on; and
- any plan-change conditions or remaining device-financing balance.
The available reporting does not establish one best alternative for all Rogers customers. Your location, usage and account terms determine whether a different plan or provider is a better fit.
