On June 30, 2025, Roblox said it had completed its investigation of TheOfficialTeddy, removed the user from the platform, barred the user and groups they owned, and made their experiences unplayable while it sought a compliant owner. Roblox said the creator met the deadline for requested changes addressing abuse in an experience, but that the investigation also confirmed a separate policy violation that could not be rectified.
What Roblox said it did
In its June 30, 2025 update, Roblox said it completed an internal investigation and removed TheOfficialTeddy from Roblox. The company also said the user and groups they owned were no longer permitted on the platform.
Roblox made the creator’s experiences unplayable while it looked for an owner who could operate them in compliance with its Community Standards. The update describes the action Roblox announced on that date; it does not establish whether those restrictions remain in force now.

Roblox distinguished between requested changes to an experience and a separate policy violation. It said it asked the creator to make changes addressing user abuse within an experience, and that the creator completed those changes within the requested timeline.

Roblox then said it confirmed another outstanding policy violation that could not be rectified. The company presented that separate violation as the reason for barring the account and owned groups, and for making the experiences unplayable pending a compliant owner. Its public update does not identify the specific nature of that separate violation.
How Roblox described its enforcement process
Roblox characterized Community Standards as central to its safety approach and said it requires evidence verifiable within its systems before taking enforcement action. In the company’s words, “We have an expert team dedicated to investigating allegations of abuse, and we require verifiable evidence within our systems before moving to enforcement.”

Roblox said its usual approach is to hold the party responsible for a violation accountable. It also said that when abuse is unusually prevalent in an experience, it may ask the developer to make changes; if the developer will not work with Roblox on those changes, the experience may be removed. These are Roblox’s descriptions of its own process, not an independent assessment of how it was applied.

A complaint filed April 24, 2026, in Doe v. Roblox et al., Case 3:26-cv-03513, alleges that TheOfficialTeddy had been invited to The Hatch and the 2025 Developers Conference, that an invitation was later rescinded, and that the account remained active for a period. Those statements are plaintiffs’ allegations in a court filing, not findings by a judge or admissions by Roblox. The complaint alone does not establish that they are true.

What the public record establishes about current status
The official company update establishes what Roblox said it had done on June 30, 2025. The available cited materials do not confirm whether the account or experiences remain restricted as of October 8, 2026, so the 2025 action should not be treated as a verified live account-status check.
