If you can’t log into Roblox, first check that you’re using the right username and password. Then follow the recovery route that matches your problem: reset your password through an email or phone number attached to the account, resolve a two-step verification prompt, or troubleshoot the browser. If neither recovery contact is available—or no verification method works—contact Roblox Support and be prepared to verify that you own the account.
Check your username or email first
Make sure you’re trying to access the intended Roblox account. If email sign-in fails, try the account’s username instead. Roblox requires an email address used for email login to be verified. If one email is associated with more than one Roblox username, sign in with the username and password.
If you’ve forgotten your username, select Forgot Password or Username? on the Roblox Login page and try the email address or phone number attached to the account. Some Roblox purchase receipts may also show the username. If you have no associated email, phone number, or purchase history, Roblox’s documented recovery options may not be able to identify it.

Reset your password using an attached recovery contact
- On the Roblox Login page, select Forgot Password or Username?.
- For email recovery, enter the email address associated with the account and follow the instructions Roblox sends. Check spam or junk if the message doesn’t arrive.
- If the account has a phone number but no email, select the Phone tab and complete phone verification.
- After you regain access, set a new, unique password rather than reusing one from another account.
Password recovery depends on having an email address or phone number attached to the account and being able to access it. If neither is available, contact Roblox Customer Support, describe the login issue, and be ready to verify account ownership. Roblox says it must verify ownership before resetting an account or changing account information; support access isn’t guaranteed without that verification.

Fix a Roblox two-step verification code that won’t work
Email code missing or rejected
- Check that you’re looking at the email address actually added to the Roblox account.
- Look in spam, junk, promotions, social, and other filtered folders.
- Use Resend Code or Start Over to request a fresh code. Roblox says email verification codes expire after 15 minutes, and a code may stop working after an incorrect entry.
- If you’ve set up another verification method, try that instead of repeatedly entering an old code.
If a newly requested code still fails, contact Roblox Customer Support.
Authenticator app or approval on another device
For an authenticator app, enter the current code shown in the app. If Roblox asks you to approve the login on another device you don’t have, choose another offered method, such as an email code or backup code. If no available method works, contact Support. Deny a verification request you didn’t initiate. If the request suggests someone else knows your password, change it once you can access the account.

Try official browser troubleshooting if your credentials are correct
If your username and password are correct but the browser sign-in still fails, follow Roblox’s General Website Issues guidance. These steps are worth trying but are not guaranteed fixes:

Use an alternate sign-in method only if it’s available to you
Email one-time code
Roblox offers email one-time-code sign-in to some players. It requires a verified email address on the account. If the code doesn’t arrive, check filtered folders, request another, and confirm you’re using the exact verified address. Never share a sign-in code with anyone.
Quick Login
Quick Login lets a device where you’re already signed in approve access on a new, nearby device. Enter the code shown on the new device using the signed-in device; the code is valid for five minutes. The feature may not be available to every player and is unavailable on Xbox.

If QR login isn’t working, update the Roblox app on the device you’re using to scan and make sure that device is signed in. You can also try entering the displayed code instead, if that option is shown.
Check for a wider service problem
If several players or devices are failing at the same time, check the Roblox status page for service updates rather than assuming the problem is with your account. A status check is especially useful when credentials and recovery methods work for other accounts or devices but Roblox sign-in is broadly failing.

Secure the account after you get back in
Add and verify a recovery email or phone number where available, and keep backup verification methods usable. Roblox recommends a strong, unique password; a password manager can help create and store one. For additional two-step verification, Roblox supports physical security keys on compatible browsers, operating systems, and devices, but setting up a key requires Authenticator App verification. A security key is a preventive measure, not a way to recover an account you can’t access.
