There is no universal winner. Dialpad is worth evaluating first if a lower displayed starting price and built-in AI transcription and call summaries matter most. RingCentral is a strong candidate if your team needs a broad integration catalog, higher meeting capacity on an upper tier, or more advanced multi-site administration. Compare the specific plans, add-ons, billing term, and country against your workflows before choosing; neither vendor’s entry price alone establishes your total cost.

RingCentral vs. Dialpad at a glance

Decision point RingCentral Dialpad
Published starting prices Business.com reported $20 per user per month with annual billing or $30 monthly for its comparison, updated September 24, 2026. The vendor’s plan page lists Core at $20/$30, Advanced at $25/$35, and Ultra at $35/$45 annually/monthly. Business.com reported $15 per user per month with annual billing or $25 monthly, updated September 24, 2026. Dialpad’s phone page displays Standard at $15 and Pro at $25 per user per month; the page does not clearly state the billing term beside those prices.
AI RingCentral describes AI Assistant capabilities such as transcription, summaries, action items, message drafting, translation, and video meeting highlights. Inclusion depends on product and plan. Dialpad’s feature matrix lists real-time transcripts, post-call summaries, transcript snippets, action items, and speech coaching across displayed plan categories. Some advanced features are add-ons or higher-tier features.
Integrations RingCentral says it offers more than 330 integrations across more than 200 companies, including Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk, and ServiceNow. Dialpad presents CRM integrations as a Pro benefit. Verify the specific app and workflow against the plan you are considering.
Numbers and fax RingCentral says its comparison includes 10,000 toll-free minutes, cloud fax, and SMS. Confirm the applicable RingEX tier and terms. Dialpad’s feature matrix marks local and toll-free numbers and internet fax as paid or plan-dependent for the listed products.
Best reason to evaluate Integration breadth, higher-tier meeting capacity, or advanced administration are priorities. Displayed entry price and built-in AI are priorities, and the required numbers, fax, and CRM features fit the plan.

Compare equivalent plans and billing terms

Do not compare an annual-billing entry price with a monthly-billing price, or an entry plan with a feature-rich tier. Confirm the seat count, billing cadence, contract term, region, and whether a listed capability is included or sold separately. The displayed rates are starting points, not evidence of what a specific deployment will cost.

Which service has better AI?

Both vendors describe AI for call-related work, but their feature descriptions are not a guarantee that every capability comes with every plan. Dialpad’s official matrix lists real-time transcription, sharable post-call summaries, transcript snippets, action items, and speech coaching across its displayed Connect, Support, and Sell plan columns. It marks some advanced options, including live coach cards and custom moments, as paid or higher-tier features. Dialpad also notes that AI availability can vary by country.

Confirm which product and plan includes each capability, and whether it covers the calls and meetings your team actually uses. See RingCentral’s plan details and Dialpad’s feature matrix.

Choose by the work AI needs to do

  • For live call guidance: Check which plan includes coaching features and whether any advanced cards or custom moments require an add-on.
  • For after-call work: Verify that summaries, transcripts, and action items are available for the relevant product and call type.
  • For global teams: Confirm country-level AI availability and applicable data or recording requirements before rollout.

Which has the integrations your team needs?

RingCentral says its catalog covers more than 330 integrations across more than 200 companies, including Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk, and ServiceNow. That is a vendor-reported catalog count, not an independent audit or a promise that every integration supports your exact workflow. Dialpad presents CRM integrations as a Pro plan benefit on its phone-system page; the required integration may depend on the chosen plan.

What about phone numbers, toll-free minutes, and fax?

Number and fax costs can change the comparison. Dialpad’s feature matrix marks local and toll-free numbers and internet fax as paid or plan-dependent for the products shown. RingCentral’s own comparison says its framing includes 10,000 toll-free minutes, cloud fax, and SMS. Treat that as RingCentral’s description, not a like-for-like independent finding; confirm the exact RingEX tier, allowances, and terms before relying on it. The vendor comparison is at RingCentral vs. Dialpad.

Which is better for meetings, support, and multi-site teams?

Business.com’s comparison reports differences in meeting capacity, support, and uptime commitments, with some advantages tied to higher tiers. The reviewed figures do not establish a single capacity or service-level commitment that applies to every plan, product, or region. Ask each vendor to confirm the meeting limits, support channels, applicable SLA, and reliability commitment in the order form for the precise service you would buy.

RingCentral describes administrative and analytics functions for Advanced and Ultra. Dialpad lists multi-office management and 24/7 support as Pro benefits, and SSO and unlimited office locations as Enterprise benefits on its phone-system page. Confirm the exact controls, user limits, and plan requirements rather than assuming that a feature description covers your deployment. This can matter when you manage different locations, roles, or reporting needs.

Which should you choose?

Lean toward Dialpad if

  • A lower displayed starting price and built-in transcription or post-call summaries are high priorities.
  • Your required CRM integration and administration needs fit the plan you are pricing.
  • You have confirmed the cost and availability of the number, fax, and other features your organization needs.

Lean toward RingCentral if

  • You need to investigate a broad integration catalog, including named CRM, support, or service-management apps.
  • Higher meeting capacity or more advanced multi-site administration is important and the applicable tier fits your budget.
  • The relevant plan’s included AI, numbers, fax, support, and contract terms match your requirements.

Business.com’s September 24, 2026 comparison scores RingCentral more favorably overall and identifies Dialpad’s price and native AI as potential advantages. It is commercially disclosed as earning commissions from some listed providers; use it as a comparison framework, then verify the details with the vendors. Neither a comparison score nor an entry-level rate can settle the choice without the exact requirements and quote.

What to verify before signing

  1. Define the deployment: Record seats, offices, countries, calling patterns, and the phone numbers each location needs.
  2. Map workflows: List required CRM or service-app actions, AI tasks, fax use, and any contact-center requirements.
  3. Match plan to needs: Ask the vendor to identify the tier or add-on for each requirement, including AI availability, integration access, support, and administration.
  4. Request comparable quotes: Use the same seat count, billing term, locations, number types, and feature list for both quotes.
  5. Confirm operational terms: Verify porting, support channel, meeting capacity, uptime or SLA commitment, recording retention, and contract terms in writing.
