Revolut’s Street Mode can use trusted Wi-Fi networks as well as trusted locations. To add a network, connect your phone to it first, then open Revolut and check Profile → Security → Wealth Protection → Transfers. Update the app if the trusted Wi-Fi option is missing. One independent report found it working on iOS from app version 10.149, but Revolut’s help pages do not specify a minimum version, and Android availability is not confirmed.
What Street Mode does
Street Mode is an optional Revolut transfer-protection feature, disabled by default. When enabled, it applies extra checks to transfers above a limit you choose if you initiate them outside your trusted locations or networks. Revolut describes the feature as an additional layer of protection, not a guarantee against loss. Revolut’s Street Mode help page explains the feature and its limits.
The feature is intended to make it harder for someone with access to your phone to quickly send a qualifying transfer from an unfamiliar place or network. It does not block every kind of payment in every circumstance, and some instant payment services may be declined if they exceed your limit and are initiated outside a trusted location.

- Connect your phone to the Wi-Fi network you want to trust. Revolut requires you to be connected to a network to add it.
- In the Revolut app, go to Profile → Security → Wealth Protection → Transfers.
- Enable Street Mode and follow the prompts to configure location-based protection and trusted locations and/or Wi-Fi networks.
- Choose the transfer limit above which Street Mode’s additional checks should apply. You can manage trusted places and networks in the Transfers area of Wealth Protection.
Revolut’s help instructions do not state a maximum number of trusted locations or Wi-Fi networks. If the option is available, add only networks you consider trusted; being connected to the target network is a prerequisite, not merely a convenience. See Revolut’s setup instructions.

What happens to a transfer outside a trusted place or network
If a transfer is above your chosen limit and is initiated outside a trusted location or network, Revolut’s current Wealth Protection guidance describes a two-stage confirmation process:
- Complete the initial biometric authentication.
- Wait for the delay you configured: 30 minutes, one hour, or six hours.
- Complete a second authentication to confirm the transfer. You have one hour after the delay ends to do this.
The Street Mode FAQ says the default delay is one hour; it can be changed to 30 minutes or six hours. For details of the delay and confirmation flow, consult Revolut’s Wealth Protection help page.

- DUAL-BAND WIFI 6 ROUTER: Wi-Fi 6(802.11ax) technology achieves faster speeds, greater capacity and reduced network congestion compared to the previous gen. All WiFi routers require a separate modem. Dual-Band WiFi routers do not support the 6 GHz band.
- AX1800: Enjoy smoother and more stable streaming, gaming, downloading with 1.8 Gbps total bandwidth (up to 1200 Mbps on 5 GHz and up to 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz). Performance varies by conditions, distance to devices, and obstacles such as walls.
- CONNECT MORE DEVICES: Wi-Fi 6 technology communicates more data to more devices simultaneously using revolutionary OFDMA technology
- EXTENSIVE COVERAGE: Achieve the strong, reliable WiFi coverage with Archer AX1800 as it focuses signal strength to your devices far away using Beamforming technology, 4 high-gain antennas and an advanced front-end module (FEM) chipset
- OUR CYBERSECURITY COMMITMENT: TP-Link is a signatory of the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s (CISA) Secure-by-Design pledge. This device is designed, built, and maintained, with advanced security as a core requirement.
Which app version supports trusted Wi-Fi?
A Notebookcheck report published on 6 October 2026 says its testing found the trusted Wi-Fi setting working on Revolut for iOS from version 10.149 onward. The report says older versions could show a Wi-Fi option in some places without providing the setting itself. This is an independent test result, not a minimum-version requirement published by Revolut. Revolut’s help pages reviewed here describe trusted Wi-Fi setup but do not name a required app version. Read Notebookcheck’s report.
That report does not verify Android support; it only presumes it. Revolut announced Street Mode across the UK and EEA on 2 December 2025, but that launch announcement does not establish current country-by-country or device-specific availability of trusted Wi-Fi. Check what appears in your own app rather than assuming every account or platform has the same rollout. Revolut’s launch announcement.

- Connect More Devices—True Tri-Band and OFDMA technology increase capacity by 4 times to enable simultaneous transmission to more devices
- Unique Design, More RAM, Better Processing - A unique housing design provides optimal heat dissipation, combined with a 1.0 GHz dual-core CPU and 512 MB High-Speed Memory, the AXE75 is designed for long-term reliability and performance.
- EasyMesh-compatible - Extend network range even more by adding EasyMesh-compatible routers, extenders, or wireless powerline adapters for a seamless, whole-home connection. Eliminate dead zones, drops, and lag as you move across your home.
If the trusted Wi-Fi setting is missing
| Check | What to do | What is established |
|---|---|---|
| Wi-Fi connection | Connect to the specific network you want to add, then revisit Street Mode settings. | Revolut says you must be connected to a network to add it. |
| App update | Update Revolut, reopen it, and check Profile → Security → Wealth Protection → Transfers. | Notebookcheck reported the setting working from iOS version 10.149; Revolut does not publish a minimum version in the help pages cited here. |
| Android device | Check the same settings path in your app; do not treat the iOS report as confirmation for Android. | Android availability is not established by the cited report or Revolut help pages. |
| Option still absent | Use Revolut’s in-app support to ask whether Street Mode Wi-Fi is available for your account and app. | Current country-by-country and device-specific rollout details are not specified in the cited help material. |
Is Street Mode complete protection?
No. Revolut explicitly says Street Mode “does not guarantee complete protection.” It adds a delay and identity checks to certain transfers under specified conditions; it should not be treated as a substitute for securing your phone, account credentials, or access to your device.
