A janitor trapped aboard Aurora 5
The fictional story takes place in 2177, as humanity’s AURORA fleet searches for a new home. Aurora 5 is pulled into a black hole, mutants roam its corridors, and the station shifts between two time periods. You play a janitor trying to escape and find out what happens next.

Stealth, combat, and improvised solutions
The Wild Gentlemen describes RetroSpace as “A disco-punk space horror, where you can be a sneaky chap or a crazy mutant action hero on a space station swallowed by a sentient black hole.” In play, that premise supports more than one approach: sneak past enemies, distract them, set traps, find hidden routes, exploit environmental hazards, manipulate security systems, or fight directly. The common thread is using the station and its systems to solve problems rather than relying on one prescribed tactic.
An interconnected station and mutations with trade-offs
Aurora 5 is described as an open, connected environment with shortcuts and secret paths that reconnect previously visited areas. Mutamods—mutations that can improve stealth, combat, exploration, or mobility—offer another way to shape a run, but the developer warns that upgrades can have side effects. The game also uses cloning after death: you can return as a clone and recover equipment from your previous body.

PS5 accessibility options and regional rating
The PlayStation listing includes adjustable difficulty, manual saving, offline pausing, volume controls, clear text and subtitles, stick-inversion options, and the ability to play without holding buttons.
