What the report says happened

The report says he made 245 calls to the woman from prison after listing her telephone number as his sister’s. The figure is a case-specific count reported by the news account, not a wider statistic about prison calls.

The summary says the man was jailed in January 2025 for six years and nine months after admitting two strangulation charges, perverting the course of justice, theft, driving while suspended, and breaching an extended supervision order. These details are attributed to the secondary reporting and have not been independently confirmed here against the sentencing judgment.
