The Redmi Turbo 5 has the stronger listed hardware for processing, charging, battery capacity, and rear-camera versatility. The realme 16’s clearest advantages are its listed 50MP front camera and lower displayed offer prices. Those specifications do not establish real-world speed or photo quality, and the realme figures below come from comparison publishers rather than an official realme India product page.

Which phone is better for your priorities?
Choose the Redmi Turbo 5 for its listed processing and charging hardware
Xiaomi lists the Redmi Turbo 5 with a Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor, up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The realme 16 is listed with a Dimensity 6400 Turbo, 8GB of RAM, and either 128GB or 256GB of storage. On paper, the Redmi has the more capable processor and faster memory and storage specifications. These figures do not prove how either phone performs in everyday use, games, or sustained workloads.
The Redmi also has the larger stated battery and faster charging: 7,540mAh and 100W, compared with the realme’s listed 7,000mAh and 60W. Battery life cannot be determined from capacity alone; screen settings, software, network conditions, and workload also matter.

Consider the realme 16 if you prioritize its listed front camera and lower offer snapshot
Comparison publishers list the realme 16 with a 50MP front camera, versus the Redmi Turbo 5’s 20MP front camera. Megapixel counts alone do not show which phone takes better selfies: sensor, lens, image processing, lighting, and other factors affect results.
The realme 16 also appears at a lower displayed offer price in both cited price snapshots, although the exact amount differs by publisher. Check the price for the same RAM and storage tier before treating that gap as a like-for-like saving.

Display and durability
Xiaomi lists the Redmi Turbo 5’s screen as a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 3,500-nit peak brightness. Comparison listings give the realme 16 a 6.57-inch 120Hz Flexible AMOLED panel with 1080 × 2372 resolution. Their refresh rates are the same on paper; Xiaomi’s stated resolution tier is higher. Peak-brightness figures and viewing conditions are not reported comparably here, so they do not establish which screen is easier to see outdoors.
Xiaomi lists IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K resistance ratings, Gorilla Glass 7i, and an aerospace-grade metal frame for the Redmi Turbo 5. Comparable durability details for the realme 16 are not established by the cited listings, so this specification set does not support a direct durability ranking.

Camera configurations: rear versatility versus front-camera resolution
The Redmi Turbo 5’s listed rear setup combines a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The realme 16 is listed with a 50MP main camera and a 2MP secondary rear camera. That gives the Redmi a specified ultra-wide option, while the realme listing shows a higher-resolution front camera. A megapixel comparison cannot establish photo quality, and no hands-on camera results are available here.
Software support and what comes in the box
Xiaomi’s FAQ promises the Redmi Turbo 5 four years of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates. Gadgets Now reports three years of OS updates and four years of security updates for the realme 16, but that duration should be confirmed against realme’s official support terms for the buyer’s market.

Xiaomi says the Redmi Turbo 5 package includes a 100W adapter, USB-C cable, protective case, pre-applied screen protector, SIM eject tool, and manual. That listed box content means buyers do not need to assume they must purchase a separate charger or case for this phone. The cited information does not establish the realme 16’s box contents.

Price difference: treat listings as snapshots
Gadgets Now displayed offer prices of ₹36,999 for the realme 16 and ₹41,999 for the Redmi Turbo 5, a ₹5,000 difference on that page. It also showed list prices of ₹49,999 and ₹54,999, respectively. 91mobiles displayed ₹36,490 for the realme 16 and ₹41,999 for the Redmi Turbo 5, labeling both listings as Amazon. The realme price differs from Gadgets Now’s, illustrating why a displayed price should not be treated as a stable market price. Before buying, verify the live seller, exact variant, stock, delivery area, offer terms, warranty, and network support. Price alone also does not establish that two listings are the same RAM and storage configuration.
Quick Recap
How to decide
- Lean toward the Redmi Turbo 5 if the listed processor, 100W charging, larger battery, ultra-wide rear camera, or Xiaomi’s stated update commitment matters most to you.
- Consider the realme 16 if its listed 50MP front camera better fits your needs and its current price for the exact variant is lower.
- Confirm availability before ordering. Comparison pages do not fully agree on launch and regional availability; one publisher labels the realme 16 listing as not launched in India. Check the seller’s current stock, local warranty, and compatibility rather than relying on an undated launch label.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
