The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G and vivo S2 take different approaches: Xiaomi lists a 200MP optically stabilized main camera and 100W in-box charger, while vivo lists a larger 7050mAh battery and a curved 1.5K 120Hz POLED display. Their listed prices are close in a 91mobiles snapshot, but that snapshot does not confirm current prices or matching variants.
Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G vs vivo S2: specifications
The comparison below is for the India market. Xiaomi’s official India product page and vivo’s official S2 page are the primary sources for manufacturer specifications; camera details and some software information for vivo come from 91mobiles. Specifications alone do not establish which phone performs better in everyday use.

How the differences affect your choice
Choose the Redmi for its listed camera hardware and faster charging
Xiaomi’s combination of a 200MP OIS main camera and an 8MP ultrawide gives the Redmi a different rear-camera setup from the vivo’s 50MP main and 2MP depth cameras. The higher megapixel count does not, by itself, prove that photos will look better: image quality also depends on processing, optics and shooting conditions, and no matched camera test is established here.

The Redmi’s listed 100W in-box charger also has a higher rated charging wattage than the vivo’s listed 44W charging. Those ratings describe charging specifications, not a verified charge-time comparison.

Choose the vivo for its listed battery capacity and curved POLED display
vivo lists a 7050mAh battery, compared with Xiaomi’s 6500mAh typical capacity. That is a capacity difference, not proof that the S2 lasts longer in use: screen settings, network conditions, software and workload affect battery life.
The S2’s curved 1.5K POLED screen may be a deciding design preference. Both manufacturers list 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, but their display technologies and published brightness figures should not be treated as directly equivalent tests.

Do not choose on performance figures alone
The phones use different chipsets: Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 in the Redmi and Dimensity 7360-Turbo in the vivo. vivo also publishes a 970,000 AnTuTu result for the S2’s 8GB + 256GB edition using AnTuTu Benchmark V11. vivo says the score is a lab reference and may vary with memory configuration and test conditions. It is not a matched comparison with the Redmi, so it cannot establish a performance winner.

Check the exact India model before ordering
- Match the full model name and memory/storage configuration shown on the retailer listing. The official vivo page styles the model as “vivo S2”; “5G” appears in the comparison-page name, so verify that the listing is for the intended India SKU.
- Confirm the software version and update commitment against the terms for the specific retail SKU, rather than assuming comparison-site data applies to every variant.
- Read the manufacturer’s water-resistance qualifications. IP ratings describe protection under specified test conditions; neither rating makes a phone waterproof, and resistance can change over time.
