The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G and Motorola Edge 70 Fusion are both large-screen Android phones, but there is no single global winner—or one reliable global price difference. The closest cited UK launch-price comparison puts the Motorola £30.99 higher for the listed 8GB/256GB configurations; in Australia, the reported launch prices put the Motorola below the Redmi. More importantly, Motorola’s official regional pages disagree about the processor and battery capacity, so check the exact country-specific model before buying.
This comparison covers Xiaomi’s global Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G, not the separate non-5G Redmi Note 15 Pro. Prices below are reported launch prices, not current offers.

Which phone makes more sense for you?
Choose based on the exact local model first
Do not rely on a listing that gives only the family name. Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G specifications should not be applied to the non-5G Redmi Note 15 Pro. For Motorola, check the official listing for your country and the model’s processor and battery: its consulted regional materials disagree on both the processor and battery capacity. RAM, storage and network bands can also vary. Motorola says the Edge 70 Fusion is available in select countries across Latin America, EMEA and Asia Pacific.

Display: Motorola lists the higher refresh rate
Motorola lists a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, compared with Xiaomi’s up-to-120Hz specification. Xiaomi’s published display dimensions are 2772 × 1280, while Motorola’s are 2772 × 1272. Both are large AMOLED screens. These specifications alone do not establish which display looks better in use or which phone lasts longer on a charge.
Cameras: higher megapixels do not settle image quality
Xiaomi specifies a 200MP main camera with optical image stabilization and an 8MP ultrawide. Motorola advertises a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 main camera with OIS and a 13MP ultrawide that also supports macro photography. The headline megapixel counts are not enough to determine which takes better photos; that requires comparable independent image testing. The listed video specifications include 4K/30 for Xiaomi and 4K UHD/30 for Motorola India. Motorola’s launch announcement also says its 32MP front camera supports 4K recording.

Battery: capacity and charging depend on the Motorola variant
Xiaomi lists a typical 6580mAh battery and 45W wired charging for the global Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G. Motorola India’s support page lists a 7000mAh battery, while Motorola’s launch material gives 5200mAh; both cite 68W charging. A review also notes that some regional versions have a 5200mAh battery. These are stated specifications, not comparable measured battery-life results. Confirm the Edge 70 Fusion capacity for your market rather than assuming the larger figure applies to every model.
Durability: ratings are not a promise of damage-proofing
Xiaomi lists IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K ratings and qualifies them with laboratory conditions and other limitations. It cautions against testing the phone yourself and notes that water resistance may decline through wear or damage. Motorola’s announcement lists IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD-810H certification, along with Gorilla Glass 7i. Those manufacturer claims do not mean either phone is indestructible.

Compatibility and package details
Before buying, verify the local 4G and 5G bands, SIM support, warranty and whether the handset is an import. Xiaomi warns that network bands and some functions depend on region and operator; Motorola availability is limited to select countries. Package contents can vary too: Xiaomi says a protective case may be included depending on the regional package.
Verdict
The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G has the higher-resolution stated main camera and a clearly listed global battery specification. The Edge 70 Fusion lists a faster maximum refresh rate and 68W charging, but its processor and battery figures conflict across Motorola’s regional materials. For price, the reported launch comparison favors the Redmi in the UK at the cited 8GB/256GB reference, while the reported Australian prices favor the Motorola; neither result establishes today’s best deal. Decide only after matching the country, exact SKU, storage tier, current price and warranty.
