The India-market Redmi Note 14 5G and Redmi Note 14 SE 5G share most of their core hardware. The clearest differences in Xiaomi’s listings are configuration and what comes in the box: the Note 14 has 8GB RAM options and lists a 45W charger, while the SE is listed with 6GB RAM and says its charger is sold separately. Which is the better buy depends chiefly on the same-day price, the value you place on the extra RAM, and whether you need to buy a charger.
Redmi Note 14 5G vs Note 14 SE 5G: specifications
The comparison below is for the India-market models, not Redmi Note 14 variants sold in other regions. Xiaomi lists the same MediaTek Dimensity 7025-Ultra platform for both phones.

These are Xiaomi’s published specifications, not independent test results. The shared chipset does not establish that either phone performs better in real use. Xiaomi’s differing sensor names for the SE likewise do not, by themselves, show a difference in photo quality. What is actually different?
RAM and storage
Xiaomi lists the standard Note 14 with 8GB RAM and either 128GB or 256GB storage. The SE listing has 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The official configurations therefore do not provide a direct same-memory comparison: Xiaomi’s India page does not list a 6GB Note 14 configuration. If you need more storage, the standard model is the one with a listed 256GB option; if comparing prices, compare the SE with the standard model’s 128GB version rather than its 256GB version.

Charger in the box
The standard Note 14 listing includes a 45W adapter, whereas Xiaomi says the SE charger is sold separately. An SE purchase may therefore need an additional charger expense, depending on what you already own and what the seller includes. Confirm the exact box contents, charger and cable compatibility, and seller bundle before checkout.
Finish and availability
Color preference can be a deciding factor when the price and configuration suit you. Check current color availability and stock with the seller; neither should be assumed from a comparison listing or an older launch announcement.

Price difference in India
There is no reliable fixed price gap to apply to every buyer: offers, bank discounts, stock and configuration affect the checkout total. Xiaomi India’s SE product page displayed ₹13,999 inclusive of offers for the 6GB/128GB variant when accessed in 2026. Treat that as a page-displayed offer, not a guaranteed price or stable MSRP.

Which one should you buy?
Choose the Redmi Note 14 5G if…
- You want one of Xiaomi’s listed 8GB RAM configurations, or the option of 256GB storage.
- You do not want to source a charger separately; Xiaomi lists a 45W adapter in the box.
- Its verified current price, for the configuration you want, is close enough to the SE to justify those differences.
Choose the Redmi Note 14 SE 5G if…
- The 6GB/128GB configuration meets your needs and its live checkout price is lower after applicable offers.
- You already have a suitable charger or have included the cost of buying one in your comparison.
- You prefer an available SE color or find better verified stock and seller terms for it.
Check these details before paying
- Compare the same storage capacity where possible, and note that Xiaomi’s listed configurations do not include a 6GB Note 14 for a like-for-like RAM comparison.
- Check the seller’s live price after bank offers and any other conditions; do not rely on launch pricing or an older comparison snapshot.
- Verify that the phone is the India variant, is in stock, and comes with the seller’s stated warranty.
- Confirm whether a charger is included, especially for the SE, and factor in any compatible 45W charger you need to buy.
Battery life, durability and software support
Xiaomi lists a 5110mAh battery and charging up to 45W for both. Its listed support policy is 2 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates for each model. Xiaomi’s pages state the policy but do not establish an update-start date here, so those durations should not be converted into a specific support end date.
