The moto g max lists a sharper Full HD+ screen, a larger battery and a dedicated ultrawide rear camera. The Xiaomi Redmi 15C 5G has a slightly larger but lower-resolution display, microSD expansion and a lower price in one India-oriented comparison snapshot. Which makes more sense depends on which trade-offs matter to you—and on the price and configuration available in your market.
This is an India-oriented comparison of the 5G Redmi 15C and the moto g max. Motorola’s India support page uses “moto g max” as the model name; “5G” appears in the comparison context. Specifications and configurations can vary by region, so check the exact local model before buying.

The 91mobiles comparison page reports ₹18,499 for the Redmi 15C and ₹27,999 for the moto g max—a difference of ₹9,500 in that page’s snapshot. These figures do not establish a current checkout price, equivalent memory configurations, seller or present availability. Treat them as a comparison-page snapshot, not a guaranteed price; confirm local listings for the same market and similar storage before deciding.

Which screen is better for you?
The Redmi’s 6.9-inch panel is marginally larger, but its resolution is 1600 × 720. Motorola lists a 6.72-inch display at 2400 × 1080 and 391 ppi, so it offers substantially more pixels in a slightly smaller area. The Motorola India support page also lists a high-brightness mode of up to 1050 nits.
Choose based on whether you value screen area or sharpness more: the Redmi gives you the larger panel, while the moto g max’s listed resolution is the stronger specification for fine text and detailed images. The figures alone do not establish how either display looks in every lighting condition.

Battery, cameras and storage trade-offs
Battery capacity and charging
Motorola lists a 7000 mAh battery, compared with Xiaomi’s 6000 mAh typical capacity. Xiaomi lists the higher charging rating—33 W versus Motorola’s 30 W TurboPower. Capacity and wattage do not by themselves show how long a phone lasts in everyday use or how quickly it completes a full charge.
Rear and selfie cameras
Both phones list a 50 MP main rear camera. Motorola additionally lists an 8 MP ultrawide camera with a 119.5° field of view, giving it dedicated ultrawide hardware that the cited Redmi specification does not list. Motorola also lists a 32 MP front camera against Xiaomi’s 8 MP. Megapixel counts and lens presence are not enough to determine overall photo quality.

Expandable storage
Xiaomi’s UAE specification page lists microSD expansion up to 1 TB, alongside 128 GB and 256 GB storage configurations. Motorola’s India support page lists 128 GB of UFS 3.1 storage and does not establish a microSD option. Since the Redmi configurations are from the UAE page and the Motorola configuration is from its India page, check the exact local SKU rather than assuming those combinations are sold in every market.

The cited India listings differ in their software and update details: Xiaomi’s India product page names HyperOS 2, while the comparison source lists Android 15 and two years of OS updates plus four years of security updates. Motorola’s India support page lists Android 16, two OS upgrades and three years of security maintenance releases. These statements are market-specific; verify the current policy and software version for the exact phone being sold.

Both manufacturers list IP64. Xiaomi explains that its rating concerns resistance to dust and splashes under controlled conditions and that resistance can decline with daily use; Motorola describes a water-resistant design and cautions that specifications may vary by market. Neither IP64 listing means the phone is waterproof.
Before purchase, check the local model’s network-band compatibility, RAM and storage combination, software policy and current price. Xiaomi’s detailed configuration figures here come from its UAE page, while Motorola’s cited specifications are for India; regional names and specifications may differ.
