Reco announced a $55 million funding extension on September 29, 2026, bringing its reported total funding to $140 million. The round was led by AT&T Ventures, with Forestay and Quadrille Capital also participating. The company sells security software designed to help enterprises discover AI agents and understand what apps, identities, permissions, and workflows those agents can reach.

What Reco raised—and what remains undisclosed

TechCrunch reported that the extension builds on Reco’s $30 million Series B, announced in February 2026. SecurityWeek identified AT&T Ventures as the lead investor and Forestay and Quadrille Capital as participating investors; TechCrunch noted that AT&T is also a Reco customer and invested through its venture arm. The two September 29 reports put Reco’s total disclosed funding at $140 million.

The reports do not establish the financing instrument or complete terms. Reco’s valuation was not disclosed. TechCrunch quoted CEO and co-founder Ofer Klein saying it had “more than doubled” since the February round and was in the “high hundreds of millions,” without giving a specific figure. Those are his characterizations, not a published valuation.

What Reco’s AI-agent security platform does

Reco’s June 25, 2026 product announcement described Agent Security as a capability in its existing platform, available immediately. The company says it discovers agents and maps their identities, permissions, connections, activity, and potential reach across enterprise applications and workflows. The aim is to show security teams not just that an agent exists, but who owns it, what it can access, and how its surrounding connections may expose data or disrupt processes.

Reco describes its underlying Reco Graph as linking agents with accounts, API connections, sessions, MCP tools, workflows, and employee applications. The company says the platform can help teams prioritize risks in context and respond by reducing permissions, revoking stale access, disabling unauthorized agents, routing findings to owners, or sending issues into existing ticketing and security workflows. These are vendor-described capabilities; the available reports do not provide independent product testing or establish how well the controls perform in practice.

Integration counts are dated snapshots

Reco’s June announcement cited more than 230 app integrations and 1,000 detection controls. TechCrunch reported more than 280 integrations in its September 29 coverage. These are figures published at different dates, not a single timeless count or a guarantee that every integration offers the same depth of visibility or control.

SecurityWeek named OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft Copilot, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Workday among the platforms with which Reco integrates. An integration list alone does not establish which agent types, permissions, or runtime actions are visible in each connected service.

How Reco’s approach fits a crowded market

TechCrunch described a varied field of agent-security products. Some focus on screening the tools agents use, others on restricting agents’ access to data, monitoring devices that run agents, or finding unapproved AI usage. Reco’s stated emphasis is a context graph connecting agents to the surrounding apps, people, accounts, and permissions, so teams can reason about potential reach and remove unnecessary access.

  • 5 3/16" x 9"
  • Includes forms for church receipts, member contributions, and disbursements

These approaches address different layers of risk, and the September coverage does not establish a market-wide winner. An enterprise evaluating products should compare them across concrete operational questions:

  • Discovery coverage: Can the product find agents beyond the applications directly connected to it, including unauthorized or less-visible use?
  • Context: Does it map identities, permissions, data, tools, and workflows—or report only that an agent or application is present?
  • Activity controls: Does it observe or block actions while they happen, or primarily identify exposure for later remediation?
  • Response: Can teams reduce access or disable agents, and can findings flow into their ticketing and security processes?
  • Application ecosystem: Are the organization’s key SaaS services and agent platforms supported, and what visibility does each integration provide?
  • Operational fit: What deployment effort and false-positive burden will the product create for security and application owners?

Reco’s ecosystem-wide framing reflects Klein’s argument that agent risk depends on more than the agent itself: “The market demand right now for agent security is not only about the agent itself; it’s about the entire ecosystem end-to-end.” Whether that model is the right fit depends on an organization’s existing controls, application environment, and need for discovery versus real-time enforcement.

What the funding is intended to support

Reco said it plans to use the new capital for hiring, sales, partnerships, channel development, and customer support. That points to expansion of its enterprise go-to-market and service capacity, but does not establish a particular reseller, referral, or affiliate program.

TechCrunch reported more than 100 customers and said financial-services companies represented about 40% of Reco’s business. It also attributed double-digit-million-dollar annual recurring revenue and an expectation that revenue would triple during 2026 to Klein.
